“A lovely stay in this old character filled hotel and bar. Rooms are very comfortable, ours was the deluxe with balcony and see view . The staff very friendly and helpful .”

“The hotel was immaculate and the staff were amazing. Would highly recommend this as a must to visit or stay when visiting Cornwall. The views were spectacular and the beach was clean and tidy. The restaurant was a real treat with amazing cuisine from the breakfast through to the fine dining experience in the evening. The accommodation was superb and definitely value for money. ”

“Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant, all the staff were friendly, chatty and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and comfortable and the cooked breakfast very filling. ”

“An excellent two night stay at a location we hadn't visited for some years. Our dog-friendly room was really clean . Evening meals were good. Breakfast was not included though we think it is provided at other times of the year. There was however a very good cafe and shop next door that served breakfast, coffee and snacks. We will be back to both establishments in the next few months”

“Darren at reception was really lovely, the lady who served us breakfast in the morning was very lovely and accommodating. The hotel dog ran up to us barking as we were leaving, which was a bit alarming. The bedroom was simple and clean. Unfortunately the hotel has an awful smell, even in the bedrooms, like damp or mouldy carpets. A bee was in our room, luckily my husband was able to get it out. I appreciate it is an old historic building, but a deep clean and refresh of the carpets might help.”

“Great view from the breakfast room. Very central to Bodmin Town Centre. Well organised - need to complete a breakfast request the day before, when you get there. Parking good - they have their own small car park. Rooms are lovely and clean. Shower room newly fitted. Really pleasant and relaxing. ”

“Room was lovely, comfortable and classy. Decor was excellent and there were some excellent touches such as a beach bag and dry robes you could use while you stay. Even a stamped postcard to send home if you wish. Staff were excellent and food was good”
