“Was clean, great location to the beach. Porthtowan is unspoiled, not touristy and unpretentious. Beautiful beach and walks on the cliff paths. ”

“We had a wonderful week in Cornwall with our daughter, son-in-law and Grandaughter. Seashells did not disappoint with having the added facilities of the Retallack resort to hand. Having a master bedroom upstairs for us and then the king bedroom and twin downstairs worked perfectly for us. Location in Cornwall allows access to everywhere”

“The picture advertised was not what was offered. The cleanliness was shocking, stains on duvets, towels, bed sheets and pillows - think bad and disgusting and you aren’t even close. Had 3 nights booked, left on day one. Poor health and safety with cables trailing across floors, screws in the carpet and a lighter found under a bed (I was with 4 kids, shocking). Now. The park itself is nice and the properties there independently owned and operated - some looked lovely, we just got a poor……

“My children play on the playground, watching summer cinema under the sky, on the evening they play with other children in a restaurant.”

“A very quiet location. Near to many beautiful beach and places of interest. Totally relaxing location. A couple of high steps into the chalet. Very new and modern feel. ”

“Really enjoyed our stay at the lodge, surprised how big the property was and how much space we had. Loved the en suite and wardrobe space in the main bedroom. Had a very homey feel with all the extra touches as oppose to a hotel room with just the basics. All of which made a very comfortable stay. The bed was very comfy! So much so my partner had the best sleep shes had in a long time! The hotub was amazing! Just what you need at the end of a long day! Tracey was very helpful and always……

“Wanted a few days away to see some of the attractions around the area. For 3 adults this was ideal accommodation. Everything we needed was there. Even an on site indoor pool. We didn’t use it but it was a fair size. Very quiet and lovely views of the countryside. The owner sent us details of check in etc and quickly answered emails. ”

“While the outside scenery of the property was beautiful the host was not helpful at all. In addition, I was asked to pay a security deposit amount prior to my visit, which I happily paid. But she kept it unfairly because she said she found a stain in the duvet! I am not sure what stain requires £50 to be washed. Even a new duvet cover doesn’t require £50! Also it’s extremely difficult to get transportation if you don’t have your own. We didn’t have our own transportation and had immense……

“The chalet was in a lovely peaceful location. A short walk across the fields to the beach and the ferry over to Padstow. A wonderful spot to relax or enjoy coastal walks.”

“This is a brilliant lodge! It’s furnished to a really high standard, and has everything needed! The host Graham was so kind and helpful and gave us all the info we needed ahead of time, as well as tips of places to visit in the local area! The Holiday Park is lovely and in a great location.
