「I’ve stayed in two rooms here and can see why reviews are either great or terrible - it really depends on the room you get, and unfortunately there’s no way to choose when booking here. Some of the staff are exceptional however, and turned what would have been a one-star review stay to this five-star review. 「We had a fantastic stay at Mountain Thunder Lodge this past weekend. You absolutely cannot beat the location; it's a peaceful spot nestled in the pines, but still just a five-minute walk to Main Street and the gondola. Loved the pool and hot tub!」

「We had the best experience. Excellent rooms, the only problem was with parking, the garage is very small and very tight squeeze. Other than that we had a great time. 」

「This "hotel" is a collection of vacation apartments, so the amenities are different from a regular hotel. For example, there's no restaurant on site. It usnt a problem, as its just a few steps from Main street, tge studio has a full kitchen, and you have grills on site. I lucked out, with a great view overlooking Maggie Pond.」

「Nice size unit where our group of five felt comfortable. Kitchen was well supplied with utensils and pots and pans, tea and coffee. Pretty 1980s vibe but as a 20 something in the 80s it worked for me!」

「Beautiful place! This is our 2nd time staying at the resort. We stayed at the 3bedroom, 3 bath townhouse for our annual family ski trip. We love that it’s only 10 minutes into town with a pretty scenic drive. It’s dog friendly and affordable! The staff was professional and welcoming to us. 」

「Great facility, walking distance from River Run. NO ski locker key. Several electrical outlets were not working and the outlets are very old, charging cubes wouldn’t stay in. Noisy family above us, rooms are not very sound proof.」

「Although short, our stay was wonderful. Unfortunately only used the kitchen to make coffee, but it was well supplied for cooking if we needed it. My wife was so impressed with the designer chef stove! The condo was very relaxing and we loved the 2 full bathrooms. The location was stunning and we enjoyed walking on the paths to the lift and watching the mountain bikers. The jacuzzi and pool were great & pretty private due to the off season visit. Such a relaxing few days in the mountains.」
