Condo under construction

This place absolutely sucked. Folks, read all the fine print. We never rent a condo unless its ocean front. After having to show my license and debit card to the agent personally (which they weren't there and had to wait for them to show up) we got our code to get in. Open the curtains, and look straight into a sign to stay off the balcony. Huge mess of scaffolding and debris everywhere. Worst place and experience we've ever had while trying to vacation. Bottom line, if the rental is run by Big Fish Rental, beware.

Disappointed

We have stayed at Beach Cove several times over the years and always had a good experience. However, the building we were in was under renovation and scaffolding was just outside our balcony. We could not access our balcony which is like another room for us. At our age, we spend more time there than on the beach. It was a great disappointment for us. So, we left Beach Cove and moved into another condo down the beach. It cost us money but at least we enjoyed part of our week. That I can find with the emails I was sent, we were not notified of the construction work outside our balcony.

Ocean Front View

We booked a two bedroom, two bathroom vacation rental through VRBO and we were very satisfied with our experience. Overall the condo was very nice and comfortable, the kitchen had more than we expected, and the furniture was sturdy and comfortable. The condo was directly on the beach in a high rise with other vacation rentals. The parking was in a convenient deck next to the main buildings. The common amenities included several pools and a lazy river. A couple of nit-picky things made this a 4/5 instead of a 5/5 including the fact that only one elevator was working in each tower, and considering each tower has 15 floors, that made for a few long waits. There were also some late check ins by customers on motorcycles when we were there, who were revving their engines and playing loud music which did reverberate up from the entrance to our floor. But that's not the fault of the company, but it was late at night and with young kids, they got a little scared. The mattresses were very firm which would be my only complaint about the inside of the room. But the fact that we had direct beach access, a good room, an amazing view, and the convenience of North Myrtle Beach just a short drive away would easily bring us back again. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
