50 th anniversary stay

This was a great location for us. Not the business of Seven Mile Beach area. Good restaurant right next door, sunsets off Starfish point. Driving the north and east end of the island with many ocean pullouts.

Paradise on Kaibo Bay

The condo was just immaculate. This was the cleanest, neatest VRBO we have ever had. The view of the marina and beach was just stunning and so relaxing. And so enjoyable just to watch boat traffic come and go at the marina. Kaibo Dreams and the area are more laid back. Spent a day on 7 mile beach which was lovely as well but we were pleased that we booked in Kaibo and not in Georgetown. Starfish Beach is almost next door and Kaibo resort and restaurant is just next door. Solis is another restaurant and beach bar on Rum Point 5 minutes away. This is a great place to stay! Lovely setting

A beautiful condo right on the beach. Just 2 minutes walk to the restaurant. Got to see some beautiful sunsets. A short walk to Starfish Point. The only downside was loud music from various boats coming and going as well as from jet skis on the Sunday in particular. Overall though we really enjoyed our stay

Beautiful view and quiet area!

This condo is absolutely gorgeous, clean and the view from the lanai is spectacular. Starfish hang out in the water in front of the condo. I would definitely recommend this beautiful spot.

Great stay at Kaibo!!!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this condo. The coffee shop nearby was great to stop in every morning. We loved walking to Starfish Point and Rum Point on a daily basis. This is our favorite part of the island. A lot quieter with some great snorkeling at Rum Point. Many restaurants within drivable distance.

We truly were blessed to have selected this place! Nestled in next to the lovely marina, with calm waters, full of starfish, and a beautiful beach. It was perfect for my daughter and I. The condo was beautiful, with everything we needed. We would love to come back!

We loved our stay on Rum Point! Relaxing and off the beat and path provided us with our own little beach for the week. Brian was very attentive and helped in every way possible to make our stay easy. The updated condo had everything we needed to cook and live just as if we were at home, although our favorite part of the condo was the screen balcony! Short walk to star fish point(bring bug spray!) and Kiabo yacht club just next door (cheapest to buy a bucket of beer than individually). Perfect get away for a peaceful quiet vacation of sun and sand.

Simply put, we loved it!

A "get away to romance and relaxation" was right on and Brian and the condo exceeded our expectations. The decor and amenities are very well thought out, right down to the plush bath towels. Our experiences with the location and working with Brian were similar to the many other 5 star reviews. Snorkeling off the nearby Cayman Kai public beach, we were lucky enough to encounter a couple of nurse sharks. The Bioluminescent Bay and Stingray City are very unique experiences. We loved it so much a return trip is already in the plans. Kaibo dreaming!

We did not get to take our trip and stay but Brian was so kind and thoughtful to check on us. He had suggested trip insurance, which we bought. I had to have additional surgery due to a broken ankle but look forward to making the trip to Grand Caymans next year. And will certainly stay there!

Nice Stay, But Tiny Bugs Was The Issue

The property location is directly on the beach as stated which was nice. Management was available and very polite. My only issue was that in the evening these tiny bugs were crawling on the kitchen counters, and stove. I don’t like bugs, so that was an issue for me despite the fact that they have bug spray available. Besides that problem, the owner communicated well by emailing me information about to me arriving.

We planned a last minute getaway and found this property to be everything we could want. The concierge services offered by the owner are great - we rented a car at a significant discount and had them grocery shop as we arrived on Sunday when most grocery stores are closed. The condo is well stocked with good quality items: quality kitchen gear, nice linens & towels, hair dryer & flat iron, washer/dryer, etc. It is clean and looks just like the photos. The location is perfect to get away from the crowds but only a short water taxi ride (pick up next door) to 7 mile beach. There are two restaurants and a coffee shop next door, Rum Point is a 15 min walk, and there are several other restaurants a reasonable drive away. Pool and beach are nice and kept clean.

First time in the island couldn’t be happier staying at Kaibo Dream! Everything I expected & More!

If you want to stay at a quiet home away from home this is it! Brian was very accommodating and always an email away to answer questions! His condo was very Clean, updated, comfortable, quiet and a walk away from water activities, starfish point, and rum point (1 mile). Also a walk or 2 min car ride are Amazing 5 star and casual restaurants.Coffe shop also a 2 min walk with great cappuccino, espresso and fresh baked pastries! Washer and dryer is always a plus and all the cooking necessities you need! Pool and Hot tub were great and never crowded! If you want to get away from the cruise ships and hustle and bustle of 7 mile beach, Kaibo Dream is for you. Kaibo is the quietest end of the island with amazing sunrises and sunsets! Can’t wait to return! Thank You

Unbelievably relaxing!

Kaibo Dream was exactly that - a wonderful dream that I never wanted to wake up from. Very clean and accessible condo, just right for 2 people who needed to relax. Beautiful clean beach next to the Kaibo Yacht Club where we could watch boats come in and out all day. Refreshing pool, easy access to Starfish Point and Rum Point. Not a lot of people so it felt like we had the beach to ourselves. Brian is the consummate host, welcoming us via email on day one and checking in from time to time with suggestions of things to do. The screened in porch is the best place to enjoy that first cup of coffee or eat dinner with no bugs! If you are wanting Night life, I would recommend closer to Seven Mile Beach. But if relaxation is your kind of trip, this spot is perfect. I would definitely return.

Clean, Comfortable, Quiet Place on the Beach

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kaibo Dreams! The property and Villa were clean and comfortable. We appreciated the amenities and useable items such as washer/dryer, dishwasher, extra blankets/towels, air conditioning, and cook ware/utencils. The screened in porch was a great place to have meals. This unit is on the second floor and you enter it street-side. We loved having the beach so close and we enjoyed being able to use the lounge chairs all day. There are lots of things to do on the island including snorkeling, crystal caves tour, the botanic gardens, starfish point, stingray city, and many restaurants. Definitely visit 7 mile beach or a beach on that side of the island for the clearest water you've ever seen! We rented a car which I highly recommend. Do plan to have some sort of GPS because navigating without it was near impossible. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to go back!

Way better than SMB

If you're looking at a vacation in Grand Cayman, then Cayman Kai (Rum Point... North shore...et al) is the place to stay. Leave the chaos of Seven Mile Beach to the folks that don't have an adventurous side. You'll love the location of this condo....just a few steps away from Kaibo Yacht Club, and just a short walk down the road you'll find Star Fish Point. We even found two huge starfish just off the beach in front of the condo. This condo is comfortable and has all the amenities you'll need, but we never cooked a meal in the kitchen, choosing instead to walk over to Kaibo Yacht Club or have lunch at Rum Point (a very short drive). The weekend vibe at the yacht club is crazy, and so is Rum Point. This condo complex doesn't face the open ocean, but you'll really enjoy the relaxed, shallow water just off the beach. Bring a floatie or use the pool. We had a car... so we were able to drive over the Rum Point a few times and enjoy the bar scene.

Great location/property

Would give property 4 1/2 stars if I could. Well priced, great second floor condo on the best part of the island - a short walk to Rum Point and Starfish Point and about a mile from the best snorkeling we found on the island (Cayman Kai Public Beach). The condo was clean and quiet - just what we were looking for. The outside patio was great for relaxing in the morning and evenings. Having a full kitchen was a definite plus as food is quite expensive on the island. The condo was well equipped with books, movies, guidebooks and music, free wi-fi and air conditioning a plus, as was pool and hot tub. We were envious of our neighbors BBQ (we didn't have one), but were able to prepare meals well enough (get groceries and alcohol on way to property as nearest grocery is rather small/limited and 15 minutes away). Would stay here again. Recommend Stingray City, bioluminescent kayak tour and snorkeling every day! Rum Point a relaxing spot and east end beaches pretty. Go to seven mile beach if you want lots of traffic or chaos. Otherwise stay at Kaibo. Owner/Brian was helpful in getting rental car and eager to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Thank you!

A week in a postcard

It was wonderful to feel as if we were vacationing in a postcard! The view of water, sand and sunsets was lovely. Many days during our one week stay we had the beach all to ourselves, from morning coffee to late afternoon cocktails. The water isn't so good for wading unless you have water shoes. Shells and small rocks till you're about 5 or 10 feet in. Snorkeling isn't great, but you'll see a lot of colorful starfish. Swimming, kayaking and floating is terrific. A very short walk to the morning coffee shop or the Kaibo Yacht Club bar and restaurant. One evening we could hear the music at the yacht club from the condo porch, but it was pretty quiet inside our unit. Tuesday morning from about 730 till 930 they cleaned the beach with leaf blowers, but otherwise it was a perfectly quiet week.....just what we were looking for. Starfish Point is only a 10 minute walk, but we saw so many starfish on our own beach (which was nicer than Starfish Point) that it really wasn't worth the walk. Rum Point is about a half hour walk. A bit nicer beach than Kaibo, but the accommodations there weren't right on the beach. Lots of mosquitoes after dusk, but our hosts provided Off. Chisolm Grocery is a 10 minute drive. Much higher prices than Fosters, but very convenient and a fair selection. The water taxi to Cabana Beach ($25 round trip booked on the Cayman Ferry app) leaves directly from Kaibo dock and is a nice shopping and dining excursion, plus an opportunity to pick up groceries at Fosters. Good prices and fabulous selection there. They even have some water toys. (Innertubes for $17) You'll want a car for restaurants (other than the yacht club) or for excursions to the botanical gardens, Crystal Cave, etc. There are bioluminescent and stingray excursions directly from Kaibo dock. Kaibo was so much calmer and fewer people than Seven Mile and other beaches. But if you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is the place for you!
