「The front desk staff were not helpful when I asked to book a taxi, and all meals were expected to be paid by credit card (I had cash) but the hotel was clean and the dining room staff were attentive and friendly. I did get short changed 50 pesos when paying for coffee and should have checked my change at the time. Nice location on the beach.」

「Buen servicio, comida rica a buen precio, personal amable. Lo unico malo es que no tenian prendido la caldera de la alberca y eso afecto mucho la experencia con los niños. Se les dijo y los 4 días de nuestra estancia no la encendieron. Una lastima, por que ese fue el principal motivo de hospedarnos ahi, la alberca calefactada.」

「Not a bad word to say about The Palms. Looked just like the pictures, was very clean and the staff were great. We got the Superior Ocean view room and got exactly what we were hoping for. Amazing view & big balcony area. Room had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, kitchen sink, and even a dehumidifier which was awesome. I do wish they had a toaster in the rooms as well but that’s minor. You can very much hear the waves from the ocean all night in the room but that didn’t bother us. The pool &...

「The 2 positives for this property are its extremely kind and caring staff plus the cleanliness. However, the property is 'tired' and needs remodeling; the noise level is constant from early morning salsa classes with groups arriving from cruise ships to blasting beach bands all afternoon into early evening, there is no quiet, anywhere. The pool is very busy and there is no beach sitting. The food is just satisfactory and thankfully there are many very good restaurants within walking distance....

「Been to this resort 8 times over the past 14 years, for a reason. The service is great, the food is good, very good at the a la cartes. THIS time however, and this is the reason I will not go back again - the hotel allows mexican bands on the beach to play if someone hires them. Which in the past was fine - they would play a few songs and move on. What has changed is they now have amplifiers and speakers, which DRAMATICALLY increases the volume. As well, they basically played for 4-5 hours...
