Salhouse Broad is a local attraction and day launches are available. Nearby the shopping village of Wroxham is only 4 miles, for relaxing self drive trips around the broads and rivers. The Norfolk coast is some 16 miles away with long sandy beaches, seal colonies, piers at Great Yarmouth and Cromer, with attractions such as BeWilderwood (Hoveton 5 miles away), Bure Valley Railway, the Golden Mile and Pleasurewood Hills within easy driving distance.
Norfolk has many National Trust properties to visit and the historic city of Norwich, with two cathedrals, a castle, good shopping and a host of things to see and do is only 7 miles away with access by railway from Salhouse station.
