What a great pub and hotel. Showing it's age in places, but really not a problem as it's great location, splendid surroundings and lovely staff more than make up for any (not many) negatives. Go and enjoy staying in an old English pub in the country.

Th staff were so friendly and helpful and the bar is open until 11pm so all good there. The breakfast was very good and the sausage and bacon was tasty - the tea was hot and the bed in our room was clean and firm. There was also a TV and tea making faciliites so all good on that front. The things I would say where there is room for improvement was that the decor was tired, there were no bedside lights so total darkness or too light and the bathroom could have done with an update but it was clean. The location was very nice and there is a place for motorhome parking so we will be back. Thank you very much, it was a nice stay.

On arrival disappointed with the state of the bar, quite tatty and carpets awful. The chap could have smiled a bit. Room was very big and clean, but dated. Very quiet around hotel, good nights sleep, but overall hotel needs a bit of tlc and decorating.

We arrived a couple of hours prior to check in but as the weather was beautiful we enjoyed a drink in the beer garden. The young lady behind the bar then managed to get us checked in ahead of time. She was extremely helpful, imparting local knowledge of the area etc. The hotel is in a beautiful quiet area of the broads with a local friendly boatyard to hire day or hourly trips along the waterways. Hotel food was good and breakfast was amazing all freshly cooked to order. Great staff, lovely place. Will definitely be back
