"My friend and I could not have had a better time staying at Rick and Shannon‘s cabin. 6 nights of peace, beauty, and comfort while we checked out Ridgway, Ouray, Telluride, and Silverton. The beds - so comfortable, the big high resolution TV, sitting out on the back deck and taking in the stellar views, the hot tub with the moon shine, everything clean and well furnished - all just WOW. Best kept secret tucked away right here. Definitely a repeat stay coming up. PS For EV electric charging locally, you cannot beat the fast charge of 4 stations (all functioning) at the Ouray visitor center. PSS Loved Brick House, Kami’s Samis, Eatery 66, Thai Chili, Blue Pear boutique, Kate’s Place, Mountain Girl Gallery, Smuggler Union in Telluride, Coffee Bear in Silverton."

"Planned a surprise getaway for my husband’s bday, and booked a King Suite w/private hottub on orbitz. Well they royally screwed up the booking and the hotel has us down for only a standard queen room. Orbitz was a nightmare to deal with to get this sorted, and my weekend would have been ruined if it weren’t for the front desk agent, Darcie, at Chipeta. What a saint! She was a pleasure to talk to (the several times I did) and sorted everything out that she could on her end to make sure we got the weekend I’d expected. Can’t say enough wonderful things about the awesome experience at this beautiful & tranquil hotel. "

"If you like to ski and want to make it easy! No better place, the hotel ski valet with a door right out to two lifts can’t be beat at their pricing! There is a sports restaurant and bar in the hotel with a patio overlooking the bottom of the lifts! Large hotel hot tub (more like a dipping pool size). Great view of mountains from the hot tub! Shower md sauna just inside! It’s a simple hotel but has all you need to have a great ski trip! Staff was excellent! I was not impressed with the breakfast as I am an egg and bacon guy but I think most would be happy! Cereal, bagels, granola, yoghurt (unfortunately not Greek), American bread.. Being in town gives you easy access to restaurants, convenience stores and bars! My room was large with a large bathroom and the largest bathtub I have seen! "
