"My family of 4 (me, husband & two teen boys ages 15 & 13) had a wonderful & relaxing stay at Olas Verdes. It was everything we wanted. It’s not too big, so it’s not crowded. There were times we questioned if we were the only ones staying there. The food was amazing with homemade breads, etc. & breakfast is included. We left the hotel a few times to eat in-town, but felt the food at Olas Verdes was the best. The staff was very warm, friendly & attentive, but not overbearing. Anything we needed was addressed within 5 minutes. Boogie boards & bikes are included & there are surf lessons on-site for a fee. The beach was a scenic 5-minute walk from the hotel. We had the “2 bedroom apartment”, which was really 2 one-bedroom apartments with one on top of the other. Each one had a small kitchen & one had a full fridge. The entrances were separate. It worked great for us given we have teenagers, but something to consider if you have smaller children. It felt like an airbnb w the amenities of a hotel. AC is only in the main bedrooms, not in the living rooms. That wasn’t a problem for us. Laundry service was included as well, which was a huge plus. When we return to Nosara in the future, we will absolutely stay here again."

"Beautiful property. The breakfast was good and plenty, only one plate per person, if you want anything extra you will be charged. I had the best massage at the spa. Beautiful views and had the opportunity to see many wild animals. "

"This resort has seen better days! Most of the structures are older and have not been kept in good repair. Wood decking around pool area is coming loose and is hazardous. Pool itself needs repairs. Rooms are more rustic but have modern combo locks on dorrs. our lock malfunctioned, so we were upgraded to the deluxe "house". This was much bigger and better with a full kitchen, and was further from the main road which meant it was quieter. staying in units near the road would be very loud. Staff was friendly & helpful and they have a lot of regular activities which would make this place better suited to a younger crowd. included salsa dancing, reggae or disco dance nights, etc. Food is average for the area. resort is a little isolated compared to both Guiones and Pelada beaches. Good, quiet business center. couldnt find 1 spoon in the large common kitchen. pretty basic."

"The folks at Green Sanctuary are lovely and efficient. The young woman who greeted us at 6pm was helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing!!! I had the Tico Special and it was huge and delicious. The only downside is the construction happening a few feet away on the other side of the wall which divides the property. Constant banging metal and drilling from 7am onwards. The Green Sanctuary folks have created a sweet and reasonably priced oasis, converting shipping containers into rooms, and sadly, with the overdevelopment currently happening in this area, their oasis sounds like a construction zone during the day. I feel very sorry that this is happening as their patch is beautifully maintained and managed. "

"This is the best place to stay in this area of Nosara! Beautiful grounds, peaceful atmosphere and aesthetic, many breakfast options included with the stay. Included yoga classes led by experienced and excellent teachers, cruiser bikes were fun to ride, and the longer pool hours are much appreciated. We loved our stay and plan to be back. Would love if in-room coffee was replenished daily with housekeeping services. "

"This hotel is probably the best location in Nosara. It offers a nice, comfortable atmosphere with walking distance to the beach and nearby restaurants. Alejandro at reception was kind and welcoming, adding to the pleasant experience. The relaxing pool and complimentary coffee were great perks. The only minor drawback was the bed, which was a bit too soft for my liking. Overall, a perfect stay!"
