"Spent a night in the cabin with my girlfriend to get away from the city for a night. Location to Rickets Glen State Park is amazing. I highly suggest doing the main waterfall trail there. Takes about 3 hours with moderate difficulty due to a lot of steps and slippery surfaces. The cabin definitely has an authentic rustic feel if that’s what you’re looking for. "The house was better than we expected. I thought it was a house just off the road but wasn't expecting it to be 1.4 miles into the woods. But that was the BEST part for us as a family. "The house was beautifully kept and clean. It was well supplied with everything we needed. The one thing that was a bit of a suprise was the no Wifi/ phone service at the house and throughout the area. A little unnerving in that if we had an emergency and/or of family need to reach us. Once we got over the intial surprise then we were able to appreciate the time to unwind, seperate from the social media and decompress. Spend real quality time with the family. "

"Beautiful view! House was well equipped, decorated for fall, clean, and very comfortable. We enjoyed conversations around the fire pit and coffee on the front deck! Would definitely stay here again if we were ever back in the area! While we were there we ate at Pam’s for breakfast (highly recommend) and Mary Beth’s Deli, in Dushore, both were very good! On our way there we visited Worlds End State Park and ate at the Barn tavern (tasty). We also enjoyed the scenery and hiked at Rickets Glen. "

"A charming cabin. We absolutely loved it! Two things: we had to buy a box fan.. the August heat was too much for the window AC. We loved the kayaks, but access to Huntington Creek was very difficult. I realize that a small deck over the creek would likely get damaged by winter storms, but perhaps a set of steps. Five stars!"
