"Beautiful hotel in Birmingham, an upscale area With restaurants and shops. I would call the Townsend a 4.5 hotel, not quite a Ritz, but way above a nice Marriott. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever, the staff responsive, the room well designed and the bathroom lovely. The shower was not strong. "

"Pool and hot tub very dirty would’ve been great but water was just to dirty. Very loud guests couldn’t sleep so much noise in hallways during the night. Breakfast was great. Rooms were set up beautifully and they were clean. "

"Very nice room - very quiet - 2 restaurants right on site - comfortable bed and the nicest bathroom we’ve ever had at a hotel. Building is a little old, but inside is very nice. Picked this hotel as it was the closest to my venue, but very close to Sommerset Mall and lots of restaurants and other places. Felt very safe here and very easy to get around. Would stay here again. "
