Cosy House inside the Óbidos Castle (Casa do Candeeiro)

Casa do Candeeiro, meaning "The Lamp House" in english, it's an antique house, perfectly located on a very quiet and natural corner in the center of Óbidos.

The house is antique but fully remodelled, containing three bedrooms, bathroom, a modern and fully equipped kitchen, a living room with fireplace, patio and garden with barbecue and panoramic views over the castle.

The visitors will find a house full of light, privacy, great energy with a peaceful environment, full of exotic singing birds in the garden during the day and the relaxing beauty of silence in the night.

The house is surrounded with all kind of attractions within the castle walls, such as, museums, monuments, restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, guiding tours, historical churches, and etc..
Outside the castle walls, you can enjoy some hiking or bicycle routes, the Óbidos Lagoon, and many beaches, such as Baleal, Peniche, Bom sucesso, Nazaré, Foz do Arelho..

There is also a very rich and diverse cultural agenda, which includes expositions, concerts, performances, and during some periods of the year there are amazing events being developed inside the village, such as the medieval market, chocolate festival, Christmas village, and others...

Inside the village there is a bakery, some coffee shops and many restaurants, and 5 minutes walking from the walls there's a big supermarket with all products you may need.

The neighborhood is very quiet, the house is located only two walking minute from the main street, which guarantees you'll be far from the tourism noise.

There is free parking close to the house inside the castle walls, and from óbidos you have access to bus or train if you plan to travel without car.
