“This property was booked by Expedia as the original property booked with our trip turned out to be fraudulent. expedia arranged this quickly with the host. the property has biometric entry which we were not aware of until we arrived as this is usually done 24hours before , however the host contacted us and we got it sorted. “Basically staying in SA safety is a concern, i had a very bad experience in my last visit of SA in the other hotel. City lodge is quite good about this, the employee is good. One complaint is the view, i didn't get the mountain view this time.”

“location wise, It's not exactly at the waterfront area, however, it's still well connect with the most pleasant area in Cape Town. I think the complimentary shuttle boat make the difference. We had a mountain view double room, which is quite amazing. We can see the table mountain directly from our window. The parking is quite nice, however, there's an extra fee on it. The stuffs are nice, still lack of experience. In general, I'd stay here again if I had the chance to visit the city again.”

“The staff are absoluteky wonderful and very friendly and cannot do enough for you. There is a private walk way to the V&A waterfront and plenty of visible security all making it a very safe area to stay. However a point to note they had decorators in and around certain rooms so unfortunately there was a mild paint smell which was coming into the rooms which could annoy other potential guests. An open window certainly got rid of it.”

“Chic and trendy hotel. Very nice staff and always willing to help. Free valet parking. Area is probably a little more mixed - the hotel themselves don’t recommend walking on the street alone after dark. We just took uber point to point and we were fine. We would always see hotel staff/security so it felt safe enough. One small complaint - we stayed on 5th floor which is right underneath the rooftop bar and could hear some stomping.
