Miserable experience

This is by far the worst condo we have ever rented at the beach. The kitchen light worked half the time, tv did not work, sliding door very hard to slide, no towel bars to hang bath towels, floor was swept but not mopped you knew that every time you took a shower your feet bottoms were black with dirt, we had to wash every pot, pan and dishes we wanted to use dirty with dried food on them, and no place to store food for the week so it had to stay on the table. The burner on the stove was broken. What was supposed to be a fun last trip to the beach for my wife it was very unenjoyable. The leasing agent was contacted daily by me and the only issue fixed was the stove burner. I would not recommend this unit as is, it is dated and needs a renovation.

The condo was wonderful, but the rental company is very disorganized

The condo is more spacious and beautiful in person. However, maintence dropped the ball in regards to cleaning. There was built up dirt in the sink in the full bathroom. Dishwasher had caked detergent in it. We never used it. As soon as we arrived we were told they lost a few sets of our keys. Then during our stay they were VERY hard to get a hold of. So many numbers and the people located at the Baltimore agency were very rude. Also, a woman came to our condo saying we were scheduled to leave that day (our third day). We said we weren't and she said she was with maintence and there must have been a mix up. She asked when we were leaving and we told her and she went on her way. Then when we finally got ahold of the agency they wouldn't confirm that lady was actually with the company. There was no way of knowing if it was some random person asking when we were leaving? It was very sketchy. Beautiful condo. We would definitely plan to return, but will have to sit to decide if the agency is worth dealing with. Honestly. Also, this property is the East Winds East, not West. Overall, disorganized but beautiful views. Very spacious. Easily can sleep 6 people. It really is a steal. We really had a wonderful time, just a little disappointed in VR agency. The balcony is huge. Beautiful.

The view was great the condo itself I could pass on. Bedding was nice beds were terribly squeaky, couch had stains and the outside furniture has no padding so very hard and uncomfortable. Very little selection of pots, pans and silverware.

Corrections

The screen for the sliding door was off, leaning against the door. Both air conditioners need cleaned, has mold on the vents and filters need replaced. NO WiFi or Television ( would have been nice to use on the rainy evenings) A few other minor problems that could have been fixed with a few bulbs.

We go there ONLY because of the view

This was our fourth time at that place. In four years nothing inside the apartment got better or got fixed. The shower curtain was STILL HANGING ON 6 rings!!! I finally went and bought the rings. The couch got simply filthy and we had to cover it with a blanket to sit on it. When opened as a bed two corners of the mattress were falling through. One of the beds has such an old mattress it squeaks every time you move. We already know to bring our own kitchen utensils, pots and pans. The apartment has some but they are extremely low quality. The door to the bedroom got jammed with my daughter inside and we had to kick it in. The half bathroom toilet didn’t flush properly, although it was replaced a year ago during our visit (was leaking then) Basically, everything in the apartment is falling apart, so if you are used to fancy lodging it’s not for you. THE VIEW - is simply amazing. For us, that and the closeness to the beach is the important part.

The view. Room was ok. Needs to be updated! The biggest complaint…. This condo is supposed to be smoke free and no way was it smoke free. Every floor you could smell someone smoking or smoking marijuana everywhere! Disgusting. Will never stay at Eastwinds. I’m not a tv fan but thank god I’m not because the tv is 25 inch!

Filthy property in a great location.

Even after reading all the negative reviews from two years ago, we took a leap of faith and booked this property. All the bad things have surely been fixed in two years, right? Wrong. This property is the dirtiest, most outdated rental unit we’ve ever booked. The dishwasher is filthy, the kitchenware and appliances are all old and dirty, the oven hood is absolutely gross with grease, the closets are (still) packed with broken lamps, VHS tapes, and artwork and are completely unusable, lamps were broken, the balcony screen door is ripped open letting bugs in, and so much more. The dresser drawers were dirty inside, including body hair from previous renters, so we just lived out of our suitcases for five days. We actually almost cut our vacation short and returned home because of how dirty this place was. The sheets and towels seemed clean, but that was about it. Dirty towels from the previous renter remained piled up outside our front door through our entire five-day stay. Seems like we spent half our vacation not touching any surfaces. This is our first time using Vacasa, and since we now know that this level of quality is considered acceptable, it will be our last. I've contacted Vacasa three times with photos, and have received no response. Previous reviewers note how filthy this place is, and that you're paying for the location. While beachfront access was great, it'd be much cleaner to just sleep outside on the beach. Do not book this property.

Dirty as hell Just nasty Should be regulations on cleanliness . Its a shame that these places are "allowed" to rent out such dirty , outdated, unkempt places . just plain nasty.

Could be much better

We arrived late in the evening after driving from DC. My 8yo was especially tired after her school day. To get the keys we had to drive to a different location. Once we got to the apartment, we found a bag with clean sheets and towels sitting in front of the apartment. Inside was not inviting at all. The pictures look like the place is new, but it’s not the case. There was no (NONE) soap or toilet paper inside. We couldn’t even wash our hands. The beds are very old, mattress covers old with holes and unpleasant looking. Old and dirty pillows and blankets. Also the beds are so squeaky that if you move at night you wake up everyone else. I have to say that bed sheets and towels were very clean and I could tell they were disinfected and washed really well. Clean bathrooms. But the shower curtain doesn’t have enough rings and is not hanging right. No trash cans. The refrigerator is clean, but the freezer is rusty. Dishwasher works only on one setting. Washer and dryer are fine. The silverware is old and dirty. Also the forks are so small no adult could use them. Basically, the next morning we had to go shopping to buy new mattress covers, pillows, blankets, bathtub mat, silverware, pots and pans etc. Things like this need to be replaced with new ones after a certain time. All the closets are stuffed with broken things, so you can’t use the closets. But the location and the view are amazing.

Great view, great location

This little condo is perfect because it's right on the beach. You can watch/listen to the waves all day. Building was very quiet, even during bike week so no trouble sleeping due to noise. Beds arent the best and are creaky. Place is dated and small, but again you are paying for location. I would stay there again!

So Disappointing

First the good news:This property is in an amazing location and has an incredible view of the ocean. It’s right on the beach, and has a great balcony. Because it’s a distance from the boardwalk, the beach is family oriented and quiet. Now for the not so good news: Other than that, the condo leaves a lot to be desired. My husband and I aren’t interested in beach nightlife, so when we saw in the description that there was a DVD player, we took some movies out of our local library and were looking forward to spending our evenings watching them. We were so disappointed to discover that the DVD player is broken, but even if it weren’t, it was only plugged into the wall outlet, with no wires to connect it to the TV. Since there is no WiFi, which we knew and were fine with, we didn’t even have the option to watch anything on our our own devices. In addition, the apartment has not been cleaned well (sinks, floors, surface tops, AC units), the closets are stuffed with junk and not usable by guests, the blankets are dirty, the mattress cover and a pillow are falling apart, the shower curtain doesn’t have enough rings, the slippery bathtub needs safety strips, the kitchen trash can has no lid, and there are no extra light bulbs. We have rented condos and houses all over the US and other countries. We are low maintenance and not picky, but our minimum expectation is a clean property. I see that this is under new ownership, and I hope that the intention is to fix it up after the season. Perhaps then there will be some indication that the owner takes pride in and loves his/her property.

This condo may be more affordable with a great view but it’s dirty and not welcoming. I would not recommend , and I’m honestly shocked a large company like Vacasa is allowing the unit to be in this bad of shape.

Fantastic view and location!

Comfortable Unit on top floor with an amazing view even when sitting on couch looking out!! No WiFi(!!) which was frustrating but did force us to go more “off the grid” when it came to work, oh well. Some scuff marks/stains on walls in some areas, but nothing to cause a complaint. Just a little updating that’s all. But the balcony/view and EASY access to the beach is what you pay for!! The location is close to anything and everything. Can walk to eat, putt-putt, ice cream etc…. Can’t beat this place!! We will be back!

Not much has changed from other reviews

Proximity to the beach is always a major benefit. 70th street is far enough away from the huddle and bustle of the boardwalk but still close enough to walk to restaurants and shops. The AC worked amazingly. The floors are clean. Unfortunately, this property isn’t well cared for. The closets are still full of random house items. The walls have stains (likely from bugs being killed). THERE WERE NO BUG ISSUES THOUGH. JUST RANDOM INSECTS THAT FLEW IN FROM HAVING THE SCREEN OPEN. The fridge was very clean but the freezer has rust on the racks. The stove is old and the fan is rusty. There were cooking items but after a few stained bowls and a knife breaking, we decided not to cook there at all. The toilet seats are old and scratched up. The shower head is basic but had orange mildew on it. The bathroom fan was very dusty. The bedroom AC has black stuff on it. The wall by the screen door was chipping badly. We had several crawlers who discovered this issue which is a safety hazard. The beds were okay. Kind of creeky. Not the worst but not super comfy. We also did not use the couch bed. THIS CONDO COULD BE SO MUCH MORE! Please re-invest in this property by giving it a deep clean and replacing the toilet seats, cutlery, cooking items and updating the stove.

Nice view and convenient location. A/c was great and beds were comfy. Closets were stuffed with so much things we couldn’t use them and cleaning wasn’t the best. The TV and cable wasn’t the best but who really sits there and watched Tv with a view like this had.

Ocean City Beach

The property was right on the beach. We had a balcony overlooking the ocean. It was great to get up and sit and watch the waves. The property had everything we needed. I would recommend staying there.

Definitely a value property. It’s a bit dinky and outdated but the beach views and proximity to the beach is what you pay for. A few items were clearly damaged in the property upon arrival but it was Very clean which we appreciated. Communication was just okay- they installed an AC unit during our stay without giving us a heads up but it was great to have in the end. Good for a short away weekend.
