OCMD stay

We booked two rooms at the Calypso Condominium as my family has for almost 20 years. One room was immaculate as usual, the other was not. It’s easy to contact someone from Vacasa on the phone, but it wasn’t until the next day and 3 different phone called that someone was able to assist us with our issues.

The condo was beautiful, and Calypso is one of the best places to stay in OC. The balcony makes it a 10/10 every time. Only downside: the condo was ready by 1:30, but we couldn’t check in until 4. With small children, it would have been nice to be accommodated. We’ll definitely look to book again.

Perfect Spot for a Family Getaway

The condo was beautiful and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was plenty of room for everyone to be together, while still offering space for guests to relax on their own. Calypso is one of the best places to stay in OC, and the balcony views make it a 10/10 every time. Our only minor issue was that the condo was ready by 1:30, but check-in wasn’t allowed until 4. With small children in tow, it would have been helpful to access the unit earlier. That said, we truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely look to book again!

Nice place but a little small

I enjoyed my stay here at Calypso very much. The balcony is huge and has beautiful views of the beach. The staff at the building and guests were very friendly. It is very nice that they have security round the clock. The home is very nice but the rooms are small. Could use better cleaning and some updating. Upon arrival we found sand in the home and hair on some towels. Appliances are a bit out of date. Overall besides the small cleaning issues and appliances everything else was wonderful! I would stay here again.

Beach vacation

Excellent location! Beachfront awesome! Condo needs some deep cleaning- sand in tubs, bathroom floors/rug dirty, funky smell in bedroom with private bath, living room rug stained and dirty. Well stocked kitchen. No blow dryers. No bathroom outside for beach/pool access. Despite all this , we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. Overall property is well maintained and staff is very nice.

It took a little work.

Overall the unit wasn't very clean. The bathrooms and kitchen were good, I guess that's what counts. One bathroom mat was wet, the unit was generally sandy, the balcony was a mess. Water puddles from the ac unit, piles of sand, general dirt, and a Tylenol tablet. The refrigerator was frozen and I had to spend my first morning of vacation defrosting and cleaning the freezer. Parking is another issue that may be out of your control, but having to park in the secondary lot, or on the street, while competing for a spot in the main lot just got tiring. We've stayed at this property before and like the building and location. It just took us a few days to get everything in order. After cleaning and repairing, the week went swimmingly. We understand the limitations and would stay here again.
