Great Home and Location!

Plenty of room and just a short walk to the pool. Straight shot down to the beach. We had extended family all in one house with plenty of privacy and space.

Invest in some new blinds

The townhouse was the perfect size for 8 adults, two preteens and 2 babies. There were a few glitches ex. the codes for the front door and garage didn’t work. Very upsetting was the blinds not working properly. Almost every bedroom had faulty blinds. When the townhouses are as close as they are, it’s not acceptable that your neighbors can look right into your bedroom at night. We had to put a sheet up over the two windows in the King bedroom because the blinds wouldn’t go down. Also the toaster was broken.

Unfortunate Stay Experience

This house had the potential to be a great vacation home. The location to amenities in Sunset Island and proximity to things in Ocean City was great. The house however; was not as expected or advertised. Upon checking into the home, the key in the lox box was broken and the key was on the floor outside- causing a security issue. There were TWO broken beds in the home leaving these two rooms not usable for our guests. Out of a 5 bedroom home and and having two beds unusable was unacceptable. I reached out to the property manager about getting this fixed as soon as we checked in and this issue was never followed up with. The fourth floor shower was clogged and had what looked like black mold around the shower. The outdoor shower was broken and unusable during our stay. The banister in the stairwell to the 3rd floor was broken and on the floor with nails scattered throughout- also leaving a safety issue especially for our two children who were staying in the house. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this vacation home to anyone else or stay at this property again.

Average home for the money

Nice layout and space for our group of 8 adults. But house lacked basic needs including simple things like broom and dustpan which we asked for our first day and never received. Bigger issue is the heating/cooling systems. Smoke alarm went off our first night and no one could/would help us - even after multiple phone calls and letting Vacasa know we had small children with us and had safety concerns about burning smell throughout upper floors. We were up all night - at 8am we’re told that someone would be to our house in 10 minutes. This continued all day and a technician finally arrived at 3:15 in the afternoon. We lost a full day waiting. House was fine but homeowner could provide a few more basics. Service from Vacasa was poor. The only bright light was a wonderful security guard at sunset island named Cpl Barnes. He seemed to be the only one who cared about our well-being. I’ll send sunset island a separate note acknowledging him. We believe we should be credited a day/night for the time spent calling/waiting/worrying.

Wonderful stay

We loved EVERYTHING about this home. The decor was modern and comfortable. All appliances were in good working order and the A/C temp was perfect. We enjoyed the close proximity to the pool and bayside beach. Check-in and checkout was very easy and this home furnished towels and linens. We've been staying at Sunset Island for 6 years and this was hands down our favorite house so far!

First time in area and this place, this community, all of it was spectacular. Everyting was clean, the community ammenities were excellent. Would love to go back.

Nice but needs changes

This townhouse has 4 bedrooms plus a bed downstairs with no closet. The bathrooms are standard and all but first floor were clean and in good shape. There was a unfinished repair in the master bedroom ceiling that woke us up leaking. This should have been stipulated and discounted just because the repair was unfinished. The TVs are not smart, also, which truly is a disappointment.

Everything in walking distance!

Great staff - quick to help with any issue we had. Great location - could walk to the pool and private beach in 3 minutes, the ocean in 15. Great amenities - wonderful walking trail and interactive fountain. We could do so much without having to drive anywhere!

OC 48 Island Edge Dr.

They house is absolutely beautiful! Lots of space and very modern. You are allowed to grill on this property which is an A+. There were issues with the climate on the 3rd a 4th floor.It is very very warm and the fan on the 4th floor spins very slow. The thermostat on the 3rd floor does not allow you to change the temperature for either floor. The dishwasher was not operational. It rain constantly Sat and Sun and moister started to appear in the ceiling on the 3rd and 4th floor. However,we enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying again. Thank you Vacasa!
