The good:
The location was incredible. Every place we went was like 10min, 2min, 5min, etc. It's so close to everything. I don't know if it has an on-demand hot water heater or a giant tank, but with 3 of us showering and dishes the hot water never ran out. Speaking of showers, the primary bathroom was large and had a nice shower. I had to fiddle with the knobs to figure out what controlled what but it was nice. I will say the water would get way too hot so if you have small children that will need to be monitored. The neighborhood was quiet and felt secluded even though you're close to everything. The chickens next door weren't overly loud but more than background noise on occasion. Having a garage to park in was terrific.
Needs improvement:
While there are comments about nice sunsets from the deck, I didn't feel overly comfortable on it. There were more than a few soft or loose boards and spots that were sketchily patched. I can see someone with mobility problems having real issues out there. It certainly needs a lot of TLC. Maybe folks don't cook on vacation, but I do, and the kitchen knives (VERY dull) and accessories could be upgraded. The primary bathroom toilet is in a tiny closet and is not easy to use. The 100 light switches need labels! Overall the home isn't very accessible because there is no 1st floor shower. Closet doors in one room were IN the closet. There was also a film of dust on most things on the walls and vents. Some basic attention would make it great!
