Carpenters Cottage, a rustic, terraced holiday cottage, consists of a kitchen with microwave, kettle, electric oven, gas hob, toaster, air fryer, and fridge/freezer, a living/dining room with Smart TV, dining seating, and multi-fuel stove, and a study. The bedroom is a double. There is a shower room with walk-in shower, basin, and WC. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen, and towels are included in the rent. Outside, there is a shed with a washing machine, and roadside parking available. Two well-behaved pets are welcome. Sorry, no smoking. A stay at Carpenters Cottage promises to be one to remember. Note: This property is not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. Note: Hatherleigh Festival is an annual event held each November, it provides a lively atmosphere and there will be some associated noise during this time, please check your travel dates
The Neighborhood:
Hatherleigh is an ancient market town consisting of cob and thatch cottages situated in the heart of rural Devon. Hatherleigh lies in the Torridge Valley just seven miles from the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, and is a wonderful central location for the coast to coast long distance trail, which includes the popular Tarka Trail. The town itself offers a varied selection of interesting craft shops, country inns and cafes. Within driving distance are Okehampton Castle, the beautiful RHS Rosemoor Gardens at Torrington, and even to the dramatic surfing beaches around Bude. Hatherleigh’s central position makes it an ideal location from which to explore this area of Devon.
