「Lovely quiet county retreat. The staff were so nice and food delicious. Wonderful area for hiking but note that wooded walks only straight from the hotel. Only a short drive to get to more open hiking. Great towns nearby too.」

Nice staff; good restaurant at night.
Note it doesn’t do breakfast but good cafe nearby. No reception before noon. Good base for Bilbao - on commuter line to central station , one hour trip with regular trains .」

「Despite turning up in biker gear I was welcomed warmly by the lady on reception. The breakfast options were explained and I went to the room. The room was clean and had a good array of bits and pieces, 2 small waters, dental care kit etc, a hairdryer with additional bits I don’t know the use for being A; male and B; bald. 「Aristieta is located in a beautiful, quiet, bucolic area of Kanpantxu, near Gernika. It is part of an organic farmstead operated by Alex and his wife, the hosts. Their home and farmhouse has been lovingly restored by their family and friends and is a unique property in every sense of the word.
We enjoyed our stay very much, and especially, our spacious room with a magnificent view of the surroundings. The breakfasts were simple and tasty. Coffee was great!

「Room was clean and well appointed. Staff were very helpful. We booked mainly for its location close to the ferry port. Secure parking was a must for a fully loaded car after a long stay in Spain. The food in the restaurant was basic but very good. Maria who served us was by herself, but did a great job in dealing with a busy restaurant. I would recommend this hotel for the reason we chose it.」
