Great location easy access to all the little surrounding towns so close to Omena. Beach excellent. Nice road for walking. Would have liked directions to tv. Never go master on. Usual maintenance needs to be done

Beautiful Private Beach

Overall it was absolutely wonderful and we would consider returning to the same place. The only two negatives we found was 1. The bar-b-que grill was filthy. So much so that we decided not to use it at all. 2. We had a lot of " bug issues". We are seasoned campers so in general they do not bother us. we were killing up to a dozen or more roaches, stink bugs, silverfush etc. each and every day. I realize that is a challenge when.close to water. I would recommend a regular visit from a bug man furing rental season.

Great place to stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Lavender Lane! The house is clean, stocked with essentials and in a great location. It was a perfect house for a girl friends getaway. The management company was also great and communicated every step of the way. We needed to get a hold of them at check in and we immediately got an answer.

Great location with easy access to Lake Michigan

Our group of 6 had an enjoyable stay. The extra-clean and neat landscaping of the property made all the difference. The beach front was very nice, but would have benefited from some sun protection (umbrella or cover on the lakeside platform.

Enjoyable Stay

We enjoyed our stay at Lavender Lane. The house was very nice. The location was great. Beach and amenities at the beach (deck, chairs, fire pit) were wonderful. A few things to improve. Each bedroom should have a ceiling fan. One disappointment. Right away (on Friday morning) we reported a significant gas smell in the water heater room. The only response was that it had been checked recently and to open the window. We were VERY disappointed that no one came to fix this issue.

Lavender Lane stay

Lavender Lane was very nice. Its location worked very well for us as we wanted to be near family. Check in was easy and the staff was very helpful with an advance check-in call. The house was clean and cheerful with a lovely view of the bay. I would only suggest that the fourth bedroom would be most appropriate for small children as it is quite small with a single trundle bed.

We enjoyed the quietness of the property. Lost my mother 3 years ago. She was born and raised in SB

Nice, we all enjoyed being on and out. I do think there are some issues with electrical. Old house some things ha updated but not everything. Hair dryers an issue. Power goes off. Bottom line we enjoyed our stay and plan to be back. 6 miles from SB awesome.

Excellent place to enjoy the beauty of Up north Michigan

The property location and area was excellent. Enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere on the lake. The property just need a little better maintenance. The bath tub drain wasn’t draining water properly. Front door knob fell off on the inside when opening the door but the property management sent someone and fixed it. The wind kept tossing the chairs on the lake’s stand. The grill on the inside was very rusty.

Such a sad stay for a family needing a getaway.

Let me start by saying this listing had only 4 reviews. Many of them were mediocre. Some of the complaints were things that didn’t seem like a big deal. In fact the owners replied and said they would be taken care of. The Air conditioning unit on the second floor that was complained about because it drips down to the first floor on the outside still was not taken care of so we just didn’t use that A/C unit, no biggie. Capital I in terms of lodging I knew we were staying at the cottage cleaned and simple no problem I booked this property because everyone said that no matter what problems they had experienced the home was clean which is a big deal for me. However upon entering the kitchen within the first few moments I realize they were coffee stains all over the drawers, moving into the family room there were mouse droppings on the mantle, And the funny thing was the floor was still wet from them sanitizing due to the new COVID-19 restrictions there for the cleaning lady must’ve just left yet there were stains on the counter and mouse droppings all of which I took pictures of as evidence. Moving on into our stay the second night we were awakened by the wrestling of some sort of critter.I called the office immediately at 9:03 in the morning to notify them that I found mouse droppings as well as heard noises all I was told was OK we might thank you for letting us know no one said they would come out and take care of it nobody said anything in fact I got the same response when I called to tell them that the toilet was running causing condensation to form on the outside of the toilet over the period of the two days that we had already been there once again oh that’s totally normal don’t worry about it never once did anybody say will send someone out to take a look.I understand that during the new Covid rules and regulations interactions are very limited the part that got me very upset is the mice got into our food and my son was exposed to contaminated food! I had to call my pediatrician immediately. What a lousy way to end a trip. I fully expect VRBO to take a bit more pride in the listings they advertise. Too much money for the package.
