"We split our vacation to stay half on each side, and stayed here first. Because we are staying on the Kona side for the second half, we landed in Kona, so it was quite a drive - THAT WE WERE TOTALLY EXPECTING! This is not a complaint, just a statement ;) We arrived in the dark, but were still able to see what a beautiful home this was! We were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the waves crashing on the rocks below. We woke refreshed to the most beautiful views! Our days out were nice because we planned it so that we visited areas on this side while here (Volcano Park, and the coast up from Hilo). We walked the neighborhood and were greeted by a neighbor, we noticed that the Big Island has the friendliest locals (we have stayed at all the main islands)! We were sad to leave, but left feeling so relaxed and refreshed! The home was clean, our bed was so comfortable, and we had plenty of towels, dishes, and more available to us. We ate most meals there, and used the barbecue. This home is off the beaten path, in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood with the most amazing views! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!"

"Location and ocean view was FANTASTIC. While it's not a 5-star/ $1000 per night hotel, it has everything you would need/ expect from an excellent beach house. We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. Great jumping off point to see sites on this side of the island (Hilo, Volcano, towns that existed a few years ago but then were taken by lava). Don't miss Uncle Robert's on Wednesday night with other locals. It was a great time. Also, the Lava Flow museum in Pahoa was really interesting and the local guide there explained a lot about how the lava impacted her life."

"Everything was good here we really enjoyed our stay very spacious rooms and fruit trees on property. Owner lives on land too but it’s separated by a fence,and he’s great with helping out"

"Of all the VRBO houses we have stayed in, this one is probably our favorite! The location was ideal with the constant lulling sound of waves and birds we've never heard. Exploring the area was a lot of fun too. Especially discovering the lava flows from 2018 close by. The house was tastefully decorated with a lot of attention to detail including fresh flowers on the table upon arrival! AND very clean. No sign of any critters or bugs. Owners were very good about communication, and gave awesome detailed directions for everything. If we didn't live so far away we would probably go back ever year and stay at Rainbow Dreams house! Thank you David and Clay for sharing your lovely house to others through VRBO....thoroughly enjoyed every peaceful moment!"

"We really enjoyed the rainforest retreat. We had a lot of rain so didnt get to enjoy the outside as much as we would have liked. House had all of the amenities you would ever need. Only complaint is the center cushion in the couch was broken, but there were 2 other comfortable chairs to sit in."
