Short but sweet stay

We stayed at La Cabana for 4 nights and really enjoyed our time. The room/property were what we expected and Christian was prompt to answer any questions that we had. Will stay again for sure!

Great low-fuss stay with excellent beach access

This is not a bells and whistles resort, but is clean and well maintained. The staff was outstanding and the beach was truly the selling point. I would absolutely stay again.

Great resort!!

La Cabana is on the best beach in Aruba and convenient to lots of things! Highly recommended! Communication was good in advance. Rooms were just what we were looking for. The only hiccup was that we had to move rooms after two days. If you see two confirmation numbers for one stay, you may have to go through the same.

La Cabana Unit # Heaven

We could not get over how nice this resort was. We could not have asked for a better location, view, accommodations. Everything went super smooth and we couldn’t be happier. We are already planning a return today. I just hope we are able to get the same unit.

Never happened before with a VRBO

When I rent with VRBO I expect the room, view and to stay in that room the entire time. When I checked in I was told I would be in one room for 4 days another room for 3. I was confused. We not only had to pack everything up including the refrigerator but we were without a room until the other room was cleaned. As far as the resort, the room and view wasn't what was pictured. It was clean but I looked at a parking lot. The employees of the resort were amazing! Top notch friendly. I would not rent from this person again.

It worked out

Booking through VRBO/the timeshare at La Cabana wasn’t our best experience. We were told our dates were available ( Wed thru the following Thursday) We were booking last minute ( 6 weeks out). They took credit card info and charged us for the entire 8 days for a Studio. When we arrived, we were only on the reservation for 3 nights. Long story short we ended up in a 1 bedroom for 8 nights, but had to pack up after 3 nights and move to another room. We were told that our reservation had only been made a week earlier and that we were lucky that whomever was playing with our money was able to find something. I’m now very nervous about booking online.

Be very careful who you rent from

Was supposed to be a trip with three couples and one single friend. Two days before two of the couples and the one Single friend left they all received a text that there rooms were cancelled leaving us a lot of stress and scrambling to find a place for them to stay. We had a room, but because it was a blue green members room, we got last priority at LaCabana and had the lowest quality rooms and had to move to a different room halfway through our trip. We love LaCabana but DO NOT book through here. Book directly from the resort. Not sure what this guy does to get rooms but he charges twice what they rent for through a property owner and you run a huge risk of getting room cancelled at the last minute. We read reviews that he did this to others last year, but those reviews are now mysteriously gone. He is a crook.

Excellent location

La Cabana was built in 1990 but has gone through recent upgrades. The resort is close to a large supermarket and we purchased our own food for breakfast and lunch. The condo has a small kitchen and eat at island. The room isn't large, and the bed is in the same space as the kitchen and living area. Who sits in the room while in Aruba though? The location is perfect for beach bodies. A walk across the Blvd and we were on Eagle Beach. So nice to have a short walk to the best beach in Aruba. Our room also viewed the beach. La Cabana has two primary restaurants on site, a coffee shop, several snack stands, and dessert bar. A very short walk to the north is Passions on the Beach, another fine restaurant, and a few minutes walk south still more. Recommend reserving a table for Las Ramblas or Passions. There are also several clothing or sundries shops. Water filter station at the pool to refill bottles although drinking from the tap or sink was not a problem for us. Water all over Aruba is clean, plentiful, and tastes very good. No chemicals tasted. Drinking water at every meal from a real glass rather than bottled water. The resort staff are very helpful and friendly. We never found a rude or obnoxious person on staff. The rooms were meticulously clean as was the entire property. The reservation process through VRBO was very easy. We did get tagged by the resort with an additional energy tax and more taxes, as VRBO did not charge for everything. Minor inconvenience though.
