Black Mold
We have stayed in Paradise Palms now 4 times and every time we have enjoyed our stay. The convenience, location and comfort of the properties have been o some of our main attractions for us. Our stay started out wonderfully. There were some minor items that needed attention and the property management company was prompt in their attention to the issues. They were also very polite and friendly.
Then on Thursday 3/20 there was a thunderstorm and the upstairs master bedroom closet became a waterfall drenching several bags of tee shirts and other souvenirs along with a suitcase full of clothes. The management was prompt responding to the issue but could not resolve anything. There were many missing roof tiles, about 5-6 rows that we saw upon further examination. The people responding to the issue said this was an ongoing problem for the last 5 months. As we investigated, we found black mold in the closet that had painted over. Then we saw water stains in the downstairs master that had stained several tote bags there as well.
Several members of group had been complaining about sinus headaches and congestion. We thought it was us just adjusting to the climate but as soon as we went outside our symptoms went away.
We all were disappointed that, that property was rented in that condition and the losses we suffered because of the condition of the property.
