I arrived late at night, next day called owner with issues, left voice mail never heard from him. Following day, called again and voice box was full couldn’t leave message. Called office “out of service”. Sent email still no response. Called VRBO, gave them ALL complaints, they got ahold of owner, finally heard from owner. 1) Pool was not clean 2) Rugs were not cleaned 3) Beddings were not changed. One bedsheet smelled slept on. Another bedsheet had blood stains as if insect was killed in it. Screen around pool area needs to be repaired. Cleaning tools for grill should be replaced. Water hose by grill had a continuous leak. Sliding door should be oiled, aligned, it kept getting stuck and slightly off track. Vertical blinds should be replaced. Blinds were missing, rod to open/close blind was missing, rod to push blinds to side was missing. Most importantly, contact info should be up to date and property owner respond. Voice box for “Emergency” number was full and couldn’t leave a message. Office number was “Out of Service”. Owner wasn’t even replying to email. After calling VRBO and they opened a case, THEN my issues were addressed. Rugs were deep cleaned. Toys from bottom of pool were removed and chemicals were inserted. Bottom of pool was “somewhat” vacuumed. If pool isn’t cared for people can get infections ex: eyes, ears. Looking for “noodles” for pool, found a moldy, smelly wet blanket in the middle of box. Issues like this also reflects VRBO. After home has been rented, owner should check EVERYHING before rerenting. I felt lied to by owner. Rugs were NOT deep cleaned as he said he did. He said he had OFFICE number forwarded to his number cause he was away for the weekend. Yet, he never responded to any of the ways I tried to communicate with him. Home was spacious, beautiful but needs better taken care of. Not just for extra income. When I left the home, it was in better condition than when I came in. Will not be staying there again.
