"The hotel was very inexpensive for the amenities it offered, which I appreciated. The rooms are small but perfectly sized for a solo traveler. Could probably also accomodate a couple, e.g. husband and wife without too much trouble. The staff's English isn't perfect but it's good enough to get the essentials across. And honestly this is Japan, so I expect to have to make a little extra effort since I don't speak Japanese. That's on me, not them. The restaurant downstairs serves delicious food that is also very inexpensive, perhaps due to the currently weak yen. Only minor annoyance is that the machine in the laundry room only accepts 100 yen coins, and it's inconvenient to have to ask a store clerk somewhere else to break higher yen bills into these coins to use it. Other than that, no real concerns, felt very satisfied with my stay."
