The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach but beware the hotel is situated on quite a steep hill, going down is fine but I can't say the same for going back up. There are many shops local which is great for g stocking up the spacious cupboards in the hotel room. Opposite the hotel is a 24hr snack hub. Snacks ranging from crisps and chocolates to burgers. “It’s an uncommon review where you almost run out of superlatives But in the case of Masana Algarve, the setting is a nice quiet neighborhood away from the somewhat congested center of town and yet within walking distance of some nice grocery shops and little bistros. It’s just a quiet away from the bustle place. “The hotel staff are friendly, cheerful and helpful. The rooms are clean and well equipped. Breakfast was very good with a large choice to suit all tastes. The nearby nightlife goes on well into the early hours and can be very disturbing if you don’t want to be part of it!”

“Lovely hotel in the perfect location for a few days break. Close enough to the Old town but far away enough not to hear any noise during late nights. We hired a car and there was free parking all around the hotel. It was my birthday whilst we were there and the hotel left a bottle of prosecco and a card in the room although we didn’t tell them.”

“Had a really good time there with my family. I actually booked another hotel in Sagres, but with much smaller space and poorer infrastructure. So I cancelled that one, and drove back again to Balaia hotel. Again the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was also an indoor swimming pool nearby. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Not to mention that the price is so attractive. Definitely worth it.”
