Relaxing beautiful cabin in Ouray

This cabin was very clean and in a quiet neighborhood at the base of a mountain. Nice decor, comfortable beds, equipped kitchen, toiletries supplied, and nice firepit and gas grill in back. We enjoyed a relaxing stay and would definitely return.

Rustic Cabin

The property was pretty. The cabin is very nice. It could use a little attention for some very minor repairs but all in all we enjoyed it. It is very spacious.

Location of outdoor area

Loved the cabin. Loved the amenities. The only thing that I didn't love was the location of the outdoor area. We were looking forward to evening fire in the fire pit outdoors, as well as grilling outside. The problem was that the outdoor area was up a steep hill behind the cabin. Although there were gravel/wooden stairs leading to the outdoor area. We went up there once, when we first arrived. The stairs were a problem for us (my balance is bad). There was no rail to hold on to, nor was it lighted in darkness. That is the ONLY issue we had. Everything else about our visit was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay. I want to thank the host for allowing us to stay.

1st trip to Ouray Colorado

Serenity in the woods!

Very peaceful location backing to what I believe is a National Forest. Great firepit for s'mores or an evening cocktail. Highly recommend!

Mountain Getaway

We had an amazing time staying in this Ouray Cabin. It was very clean when we arrived. The location is beautiful, on a mountain, but it is in neighborhood, and shares a driveway. The neighborhood is very quiet, which was very pleasant for us! The house does have a noticeable slope. The upstairs has low ceilings,overlooking we had wonderful stay! watch your head!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place 5 minutes from Ouray, perfectly positioned for trips to Silverton, Ouray, Ridgway, and Telluride. Peaceful, great front porch to meditate from with coffee or a beer. Only caution is that, being a log cabin, steep stairs and low ceilings (log beams) inhibit old folks a bit.

Bathroom situation not ideal. Claw foot tub shower combo very awkward and upstairs bathroom ceiling very low especially over toilet. Windows don’t have screens so having open allows bugs.

Not for tall or elderly folks

The outdoor area of this property was amazing! We spent much of our time up there, taking in the beautiful mountain views and watching the clouds roll in! So peaceful! The home itself is certainly rustic and cute. Unfortunately, it is neither for tall folks nor anyone with the slightest mobility concerns. On our first night, one of our party fell all the way down the stairs! The top step a doozy! Be careful! The downstairs bathroom shower is in a clawfoot tub without a slip mat, which was frightening for the two elders in our party who stayed downstairs. They couldn’t have even used the upstairs shower as it was broken and could not be repaired in the 6 days we were there. The whole cabin is on a slight but noticeable slope, increasing the fall risk. FYI, there is no dishwasher, as the listing indicated when we booked. There were other concerns, which the management company addressed to the best of their ability, so I won’t list them here. Overall, not the comfortable “luxury” that the listing promised, but certainly clean, cozy, and cute.
