"We stayed in the older less expensive side of the hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Read a lot of negative reviews prior to foing but feel the room was amazing value for money. Hotel grounds and pool are fabulous! Amazing breakfast and lovely helpful staff throughout."

"El Porxo is a beautifully furnished house with excellent beds, bed linen, towels, dressing gowns and slippers. Everywhere is super clean, including the large pool. Lovely well maintained gardens to relax in and a gorgeous dining terrace. The owner is delightful. We’ll definitely return if we come back to Girona."

"Excellent hotel and fab location...beds are one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Service is brilliant and the room very clean with water refilled everyday.Very welcoming at reception and they offer a lift on the golf cart to other restaurant. Food was great in all places. Would definitely come back here again. Thank you."
"Had to take an overnight stop before a morning flight from Girona airport, so a hotel closeby was a must. Booked this hotel through Expedia along with my flight, and it couldn't be better. Everything was spotless, the staff were superb, the room was large and well-appointed. Most hotels I stay in have one common 'fault' - a double room with only one chair! This place had 2 chairs, and a table, and another chair behind the desk. I arrived early so had a quick drink at the bar while my room was finished - €3.50 for a large cold beer... yes! The pool was cool and clean, with a pool bar open all day until late, and we also had a gym and sauna, which we were allowed to use free for the first hour. Food was delicious and not too pricy, and although we were only 5 minutes drive from the airport (using the free airport shuttle) there was very little, if any, aircraft noise sat out by the pool. All in all, an absolute bargain at £88 a night, including the marvellous breakfast! Next time I fly to/from Girona I'll be arriving a day early to have another stay. Thoroughly recommended."

"Really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of space for our group of 18 and kids loved pool and play areas. There were a number of different areas to eat inside and out, with enough dishes etc for our group. Josep couldn’t have been more helpful and would check all was okay on his days he attended the pool and outside area. He also sorted out our early arrival and was on hand when our group arrived.WiFi was good. Train station in town was great and we visited Girona, Barcelona and Blanes.Only downside was Air Condition but didn’t spoil our stay,Josep did provide a portable unit for our main sitting area. "
"Elisabeth was a great host! gave us some good tips on places to visit. The place is remote and very peaceful. It would be good to have your own car or Elisabeth provides a shuttle service which is cheaper than a taxi. "
