「This is my second time I wanted to show my granddaughter why her Nana is moving to Hawaii and this is one of the places she fell in love with her. I fell in love with the place has been renovated, so it’s very shiny and clean, but only takes secondsplace when it comes to the view always moving. Unpredictable and so much marine life this time we saw dolphins and turtles. The Dolphins were showing off. I’d like to share some of the pictures of this home and I must say the pictures do not do it...

「May be one of the best places I’ve stayed at. I was able to relax, and feel at peace. The cottage was comfortable, clean and had a well set up kitchen, three lanai and lovely decor. The beauty of the surroundings was wonderful; trees, plants, ocean, and our own good luck gecko:). The owners were kind and respectful of our time there. Putting my phone away for a bit, other than taking photos also increased my joy. Thank you David and ClayWe hope to be back again soon!」

「What a special place! We enjoyed our stay so much and found the location to be very peaceful. Sue is an outstanding host, responsive, friendly and very helpful with answering questions and providing information. Each morning I walked to the nearby cafe for coffee, then across the street to the bench overlooking the ocean. My son and I enjoyed each having our own space and being able to make meals in the kitchen. The breeze throughout the house was wonderful and we spent most of our time there...

「Place was amazing, it was quite, except for the frogs at night, but they didn't bother me at all. There is no AC , but with the fans on and windows open it was fine. Love the lanai, I was able to just sit out there for breakfasts and dinner and enjoy the ocean view, the breeze, and the chickens. The only thing is I wish there were more hooks in the bathroom and a night stand in the bedroom with the twin beds. I had no where to put my things and I usually have a cup of water near me at night. 「The view was breathtaking, it was well stocked and our hosted was easy to communicate with.Only improvement would be that the check out process was a bit excessive; stripping the beds, sweeping the floors and emptying the dishwasher, considering a cleaning fee was applied.」

「We absolutely loved the Whale House! The location is absolutely beautiful and the area was very quiet. The unit had basic kitchen supplies but they were very limited. The in bedroom air was great and the bed was very comfortable. The beach across the street was definitely one of our favorite spots to go and relax. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit and recommend it to anyone going to the Big Island. 」

「This property was true to the listing and we would stay again in a heartbeat. We chose it for the location, the spaciousness, and the well appointed rooms. Favorite touches of the house - boogie bords, noodles, snorkel, and camping chairs for use, cordless vacuum, auto-icemaking refrigerator with filtered water (we don't have one normally so this was so nice!), and the lanai.While this location required a little bit of extra driving to get in and out, we found it well worth it to decompress from...

「Sitting listening to the ocean waves is very relaxing. The sun doesn't shine directly on the deck, which I truly enjoyed. I did want the chairs to fully recline. The Lava Flats are close by and worth a visit. The black sand beach has no easy access route that we were able to find. My next trip to the Big Island, I will look for this rental. I did find the key box a little difficult to open and the laundry room instructions takes you to the wrong side of the house.」

「Very welcoming stay, gave us privacy and clear instructions, very clean and good water pressure. The gate and couple made me feel safe and secure while traveling as young woman. Would 100% stay again. Located close to the volcanos and black sand beach.」

「We loved staying at Volcano House! The property is beautiful and relaxing. It’s close enough to Hilo and ideally located right next to the Volcano national park. On Sunday the 20th we got an alert for Kīlauea episode 29 and quickly went to the lookout. We beat the crowds and watched the eruption, it was awesome. I still can’t believe how lucky we were to see it. I highly recommend staying here, the house is outstanding.」

「It was a fantastic location. The only thing I would say is that there should be a designated smoking area away from building. With windows open it is hard to not breathe it when right below your window. The homey touches were wonderful.」

「The space is beautiful inside and out, we struggled with the gate lock the first couple of times we used it, it started to loosen up the more we used it. The frogs come alive at night and give you a symphony. If you’re sensitive to noise while sleeping bring ear plugs. We will absolutely stay here again.」

「We loved staying in the penthouse. It was very tasteful and comfortable, and the view from the bedroom and lanai couldn’t be better. The people in the building were nice and a nice long pool was good for laps. Carl Smith beach right next-door was excellent for gentle swimming And snorkeling, and we saw a lot of turtles. I would definitely come back and stay in the penthouse. All the necessities were available in the kitchen, and the place was clean and tasteful. 」
