Making Memories

This is absolutely the best property we have ever stayed at. If you want to relax, enjoy a glorious view, and enjoy a stress free vacation, this is the place. Close to restaurants, beaches and other amenities. If you want to eat in, you can enjoy the gourmet kitchen with everything you need to prepare a delicious meal. I highly recommend this home.

Nice house and great location

' The house was very nice and worked well for our extended family. The location was great with beautiful views and nearby beaches. There was a problem with the boat lift not working but Claudia was responsive and offered the use of her parents boat lift on another street. Love the 'Forgotten Coast' as you find old Florida around every corner.

My in-laws and I loved this rental! It EASILY, and comfortably, sleeps 14, is close to FSU opposite of traffic and it had everything we needed. The home could use a interior paint touch up, but that is cosmetic and didn’t diminish the quality of the home overall. Claudia was a great communicator and she made sure that we had everything we needed during our stay. I would highly recommend booking this home especially for large groups.

FSU Graduation greatest idea!

Our son graduated from FSU so we wanted to stay close but out of the chaos in Tallahassee. This place was perfect. The location is amazing, there is a Walmart close and a small market on the corner incase we needed something quick. Being on the water and looking at the views of the bay and the gulf were beautiful. The property is half a mile from the beach. It was the best idea ever and Panacea has become one of our must return to areas for vacation.

Wedding weekend

Property was in good shape, couple of little items but nothing major. You cannot use the fireplace, local law I was told, and never got the TV's working, but the night sky at this location with all the stars and Milkey Way clearly visible was almost worth the price alone. Perfect house for 5 couples. Plenty of room for everyone.

Best Vacation

We had an awesome time in Panacea. We enjoyed the larger space for our family. Enough room to accommodate all of us. It was so much fun sitting on the porch and talking and laughing while dolphins swam by. They were beautiful. Some wanted to go to the beach, some fishing, some shopping and some just hanging out. This was the perfect place for all of that. We enjoyed some great seafood at the local restaurants as well as cooked some in the gorgeous kitchen. This is without a doubt my favorite place to come to. We love it so much that we are planning to book it again in December as well as next July.

Thanksgiving

Beautiful property. Took about 15 minutes to walk to a little beach, too cold to swim, so don’t know if the bottom and depth were good. Took 25 minutes to get to grocery or shopping. Because of Covid we didn’t do much, went to state park and hiked, went to lighthouse. Nothing close. Great for family time. Take hand soap (no soap), toilet paper, not much furnished. Beautiful view and decks.

Absolutely GREAT week!

We stayed in mid-July and absolutely loved it. The views were great and the beaches were awesome. What we loved the most was how CLEAN this house was. We can tell how great of a job the owner does at keeping the house clean and taken care of. She left us instructions that were so good we only needed to call her once! And the only reason we called was to find out a restaurant nearby ("The Tropical Trader," by the way, was delish). She answered our only call right away and was so pleasant to deal with. We brought our little ones and our teenagers and it was a great house for both. The house was so spacious, so no one ever felt like they were on top of each other. Overall, it was a GREAT week!

Dirty and Filthy

The neighborhood was nice the location was perfect but once you enter the house there was a old smell to it the wall was dirty the vent this black dust on it the carpet was the worst I ever seen no way you could’ve walk around with out shoes on one bathroom shower curtain was dirty the tv in master bedroom didn’t work at all reported it no one came out to fix it the whole we were there. The host didn’t come by at all or call us .We had trouble working the elevator when we arrived we text her of our problem with elevator.She text us back with the instructions on how to work elevator. I text her on Thursday morning.We check out on Saturday morning no one call or came by for fix the TV .The furnitures were fifty also .

Beware of Owner

We arrived Sunday night (July 12th) around 9pm. We noticed some issues that needed to be addressed during our stay: Window shades in the master bedroom were broken, two lower stairwell lights were blown, the master bathroom was not clean, cigarette butts in the fire pit & gnats were all over the house probably due to the orange peels in the garbage we when we arrived. I sent the owner an email Sunday night stating the information above, so she can inform her cleaning & maintenance team & I asked that she call me at her earliest convenience.The next day (Monday, July 13th) around 6pm, the owner’s father & maintenance man came unannounced & interrupted our dinner to fix the lights & the owner's father asked that we point out everything we noticed. At that time, we mentioned that my sister found globs of hair in the 2nd floor Queen bed & the hallway bathroom tub drain was clogged. Owner's father was very annoyed as he inspected the sheets with my sister for hair particles, then left abruptly. About 20 minutes later the owner finally contacted me & said it seems as though you all are nitpicking & are unhappy with my property. She harped on the orange peels & asked how many hairs we found on the sheets. I said we didn’t count the hair, & then the owner said “You all can leave, I will refund you the remaining nights & the security deposit; I don’t need your money”. I was shocked that simple maintenance issues turned into us being asked to vacate the property, we were pointing out issues that may hinder us getting back our security deposit. the owner then gave me an ultimatum & said, “You all can stay but you must leave on Saturday at 10am sharp” & disconnected the call while I was talking. My family was so uncomfortable due to owner & her father’s behavior that we decided to take the owner's offer, which was to refund our remaining days & security deposit. We left in such a hurry my father forgot his insulin shots in the freezer. I contacted the owner to see if they can COD the medicine next day to our hotel room & she replied I would rather send to your home. My father’s life depends on this medicine, so we went to the hospital for assistance. The owner was hyper sensitive over minor maintenance issues, thank GOD I didn’t point out the dead water bugs, mold on the tub grout & Jacuzzi vents, dust balls behind toilets & on the ceiling fans, all the rugs were filthy, doors off the hinges & lastly the refrigerator & kitchen cabinets was full of expired food!

Great location for family reunion

Enjoyed the views and plenty of room for our group. Although there is no water access except via boat at the property, we did walk down the road to the public beach. Although it was rocky in the water, we enjoyed the undeveloped location where the kids found crabs and other creatures.

Family Panacea 2025

Our yearly vacation with our family was awesome. The house was gorgeous and more than we could’ve ever asked for. We loved it. Close to the beaches close to the boat ramp and had a dock. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen and living area were huge. and at 72 I really enjoyed having an elevator to use.

Great place for a getaway

Amazing Beach/Bay House!

I stayed here with 13 other friends and we had an incredible time at Claudia's place! This place is well decorated, stocked, and has an amazing view of the bay. The property is very close to a small beach, or you can drive 20-30 minutes to access other, bigger beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and didn't want to leave. This place is an absolute gem - highly rec!

Great stay!

We rented this house for my family to stay together to celebrate my brothers graduation from FSU. It was great to get out of Tallahassee and the water views were amazing! The place actually looked even better than pictures. So spacious with an amazing screened in porch and rooftop balcony was a nice surprise

My Happy Place

This property is perfect in every way. Great location with a beautiful view. Very spacious and comfortable beds. Convenient to restaurants, beaches, and entertainment. The fishing is awesome. We visit Panacea once per month and this is our first choice o a place to stay.

We love the location, scenery and layout of this property. It’s truly a great home. Unfortunately, it needs a serious deep cleaning and some new furniture. We ended up leaving a full day early due to feeling uncomfortable with the current state of the house. This place has tons of potential and the manager was super easy to communicate with, just needs a serious cleaning.
