Great stay

Great experience, the pool was amazing, the room was very clean. Only thing I didn’t like was that we had one roll of tissue and asked for another roll but they say you have to supply your own but besides that it was a great stay.

We felt the condo was comfortable. We needed blankets and they brought us new ones right away. We think the edge of the carpet in the living room needs to be fixed. Wish there was tile all over. Loved the king size bed. Very comfortable.

The summit while having a great location and atmosphere. Needs a lot of cleaning repairs and updates

Broken drawers,cabinet, sink wouldn’t drain,stovetop half worked,balcony railing loose with broken floor tiles and concrete, drywall mud unsanded on the bathroom wall,only three towels and two wash cloths for the first three days. Could be a great place with some effort.

Sorry I booked this unit...

nasty carpet, foam mattress in master bedroom with no support, not enough towels in each bathroom (only 2), lamps and clocks unplugged, one lamp didn't work at all, living room clock on the wall didn't work at all, dishwasher falls out of the cabinet because it's not secured at the top, will never book here again

Beautiful view and comfortable beds.

The room and view were magnificent, the only issue was the elevators. One elevator was down for service during our stay, and the other was constantly full. If you don’t mind climbing stairs or a long wait at the elevator it’s a perfect stay. I still gave five stars because it was a fun relaxing atmosphere and again the actually accommodations were spot on.

Great Room, Bad Resort

I understand the rooms are individually owned, so in that case the room and it’s owner get 5 stars! It looked exactly as the pictures, everything was clean and my 11 month old loved the lizards on the coffee table in the living room! The Summit Resort was awful. Any staff member we ran across was rude. We checked in early after calling and asking if it was okay. I confirmed with the desk after paying the parking fee the room was ready to go and she said, “I don’t know. Go check and see.” Shortly after we got up there a real estate agent showed up to show the room to a potential buyer. He was very nice and left. That wasn’t a big deal to us, but you would think the front desk should be aware of a room showing. The water to rinse off the sand from the beach was turned off. We tracked so much sand in our room. I went to the front desk to ask where I could rinse my daughter, who was covered, and she responded “I’ll try to turn it on”. We waited forever and two days later it still wasn’t on. On check out day we were taking loads to the car. My daughter and I stayed back to continue packing while my husband made a trip to the truck. The housekeeper knocked on the door asking if we would be checking out soon. I said yes and she just responded “okay, thank you”. This was at around 9:20. She proceeded to wait outside our room until all three of us walked out and then walked in with her cleaning cart. This was around 9:40. She didn’t even ask if we were done gathering our things. In my opinion, rooms should not be entered by staff until after the checkout time of 10:00 and do not wait outside a guests room. It’s awkward and uncomfortable. I know there were other things she could have been doing. Overall, the room was great, but I don’t know that we will be back to The Summit. We’re already scheduling a trip for next year so I’ll watch reviews and see what improves. I hope future guests have a much better experience.

Loved the view and the fact in was close to lots of restaurants we love The parking for a family of 6 is not great we had to park one car in a parking lot and the elevator was terrible

Wouldn’t stay again

The access to the ocean was the only good thing about this stay. The hotel room smelt like pot. There were stains on the sheets. They said they cleaned the room but we found hair ties and trash that wasn’t ours. And the elevator was crazy only 2 for 13 floors and it would go crazy and skip floors

1st off, I have stayed at the summit for years now. I have always rented from owners. Had a room booked, owner made a mistake lost that room so I rented from Vacasa on VRBO Huge mistake. As others had said in their reviews Black mold on the ceiling, in the kitchen, inside kitchen cabinet livingroom, hall and around the front door. The kitchen being the worst. Called my 1st day, as this is unacceptable being my elderly Mother n law was there, plus my whole family. They sent someone to look and correct the problem. The person stated it was "mildew" and spray painted Kilz on the ceiling with my family in the room, standing on a bar stool. Not safe or professional. Afterwards my room was covered in paint dust so I had to clean all that off of stuff. The people I did talk to 3 times at Vacasa were super nice. They asked if I would like to speak to a manager, which never happened, no text no call no email. I guess since they sent someone they were done with us. They told me the room would be make clean before anyone else rented it. I left Sept 26 2020. It was cool when we 1st got there. But by the endnof the week, the air does not work. Wouldn't have done any good to call, because the last time I called they stated my ticket had already been closed out so nothing new would be done. The Summit has hardly any security anymore. The gates stay open all the time, no one at the gate office. The front office check in was good. With covid you have to wait outside so not to many people are inside. Not a problem. The Summit does need attention, I know work is going on as the you can see the building is being painted. But the hot tubs are terrible. And no one supervises, because small kids use it as small pools. I had to tell a kid his long float does not belong in the 1 working hot tub. Rent from an owner not a place, unless you know the business. We were told to turn our music down at 8:30 at the grills. We did and took it to the beach. For the next 3 night the music at the pools lasted until midnight. I guess because there was 10 of us and 20 of them. Watched 3 fights, 1 with the police involved. And still only 1 security guard. I love the summit have for years. But the people who don't care are making it bad!

Room unsatisfactory

The room stinks and there’s black mold on the ceiling. The a/c blows very faint out the vents so the room stayed hot. We called and complained and management said that a technician is going to see about it but the technician never seen about the a/c. The room stayed hot the entire week.
