I took my kids here to celebrate Christmas away from home for the first time. I'lll stick to the pros and cons.
Pros:
The upstairs is as presented. It is fairly updated and comfortable. When we couldn't get the fire to work, the mgmt co sent someone to take care of it the same day. The hot tub was working and was fabulous. For a winter property, we did not get dried out as fast as we usually do, and did not require humidifiers.
Cons:
The downstairs, where everyone sleeps, is abysmal and in need of an update. There is nowhere to unpack, so we had to live out of our suitcases. The beds are hard as rocks and the only way up and down is a spiral staircase, which was tricky with our large suitcases. While the property is normally ski-in ski-out, bc there was no snow, the slope to the house was closed and we had to walk 10 minutes to get our skis, and back - all uphill, at the end of each day. There was no well-organized book at the house to inform us of how to get transport, so we took Uber to dinners and the villlage, bc it was too cold to walk the 15 min. Finally, for Christmas week, we had no tree or other Christmas decorations to greet us - bit of a downer.
Overall, I'd say this property there were factors both out of the mgmt company's control (snow), and in their control (create a book w/information for guests, update the downstairs) that they could improve.
