「Lovely property in a prime position just a few minutes walk to the beach. Rooms (superior) very comfortable and clean, staff were lovely and attentive. Food in the restaurant was excellent, but the service was slow. We pre ordered our breakfast on the day we left as we needed to get on the road as it was a long journey, that worked out well. The waterfront just up the road is worth a visit. Would recommend.」

「Second time we stayed at Gonana, right on the beach. Nice firm bed, hot breakfast. Would be nice to have a small fridge in the bedroom to keep water cool on the hot day. Anytime self service upstairs at the breakfast/ lunch area. Definitely, we will be back」

Breakfast was excellent. Shirley, the manager who runs this place, merits special mention. She helped us get our bags upstairs, served us our breakfast and always had a smile and a kind word. 「We loved our little chalet which was really comfortable and immaculately clean . It was a little hot even with the air con on but the outside temperature was over 40 degrees which is very unusual . The food in the restaurant is great and the pool area is nice . There are tame deer who are really sweet and hang around the chalets in the morning . 「Alabaster Box certainly is doing something right! Besides the home being immaculately kept, the service is top notch. Upon entering my room I was met with the most beautiful scent of sandalwood. A small fridge, and kettle were available for my snacks and tea. The shower was absolutely amazing, and much needed after a long car ride! The balcony even had views of the lagoon. There’s a serene koi pond in the back, and pool as well. Most of all, I felt safe as a solo female. May God bless this...

「Lovely studio apartment right on the beach with fantastic views. Very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Lovely friendly staff who were very helpful. The only slight disappointment was that the pool didn’t appear to be cleaned during our 4 night stay. There was an automatic cleaner but due to the proximity to the sand the pool really could have done with a good manual clean. 」
