I initially booked a standard room for 8 nights. I decided to arrive a day earlier so I went online and booked an extra day. However only the deluxe rm was available.
Upon check in, I handed all the bookings to the receptionist. She informed me that I needed to change rm the next day. As my schedule was very tight, I told her I don't mind downgrading to a standard room as it was really inconvenient to pack and unpack again.
Upon checking with someone she said ok no need to change room and handed me they key.
I left the hotel the next morning at 6.30am and return at 6pm. To my horror, they lock me out of my room. When I asked the receptionist why, they said I had to change room immediately or else I had to pay. What ever reasoning fell on deaf ears. Since I had my local host picking me for dinner, that left me 20mins to pack, change rooms, shower and get changed.
I'm my haste, I misplaced the room key somewhere in the room. They refused to issue me a new key unless I pay them 300Baht!!!.
I chose this hotel as it's convenient. However the credibility of its staff and the language barrier needs improvement.
Very disappointed with the service rendered.
