“We had such a great stay at The Sarasota Modern! The hotel itself is beautiful! Very modern, clean, and had such a fun vibe from the moment we walked in. The rooms were stylish and comfortable, the pool area was amazing, and the location was perfect for exploring downtown Sarasota. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Valet was easy, check-in was smooth, and everything just felt relaxing and well taken care of. It definitely felt like the perfect mix of upscale……

“The room was clean and spacious. The front desk staff were most helpful especially since we were there for our wedding and had a lot of visitors, vendors, and items that we needed to coordinate over the days we were in Sarasota. I was especially appreciative of the housekeeping staff that assisted me in organizing the room after having multiple boxes to unpack and dozens of wedding flower bouquets to sort through. Our friends and family enjoyed the BBQ grill and pool the most. That outside area……

“We walked into the room and left 5 minutes later. Because I booked through expedia, the hotel and expedia refused no REFUND. I lost $600.00 and had to book $800.00 airbnb. One hour in Florida and had to deal with this. Hair and stains on the bed and box spring, smelled horrible, looked like some threw up cabbage in the bathroom garbage. I never felt so uncomfortable. Always book hotels through them personally and on a credit card to help get a refund. I've been using expedia for 20 years but……

“bed side lamp was not working for entire staying. not acceptable. mgt issue. reception staff was good breakfast food quality is not good at all. stay for 5 nights and only room cleaning once. not acceptable. hotel policy issue”

“This hotel is great! friendly and helpful staff, clean and large room (the quality is particularly amazing given the low price), and it is walkable to the Ringling mueseum. The only thing I am not that satisfied is the strong smell of disinfectant in the room. Will definitely consider this place once I visit Sarasota again.”
