"We loved everything about this place. So much so that we almost want to keep it a secret: The location is great (in the hillside above Florence), the space is amazing with high-quality furniture and materials, and the hosts are super friendly and accommodating. "Overall a good place to stay, within walking distance of the central train station and all the major attractions. The hotel is small but adequate, as are the rooms. Breakfast is very good. It is very clear that the staff members are proud of providing a good experience. Our only incident was losing hotel WiFi for almost a day, and the front desk insisting that they were not at fault - my phone and iPad were at fault. Later that day the front desk told us that a fault had been found and maintenance was fixing it. No apology for incorrect information earlier in the day. In retrospect not a major problem."

"This hotel and property is like out of a Hollywood romance or princess movie! Staying here is going to be a core memory for me. At times, it seemed like we were the only ones here. Our first day, I roamed around the garden during the early evening, and I was in complete solitude for at least an hour. During my stroll around the property, I saw a fox run past me, which just added to the storybook feel. Our family of 4 arrived on a Thursday and left on Monday. We had the Della Duchesa Suite and they had 2 single roll-away beds prepared for the kids. The A/C works great, which is hard to find good A/C in Italy. The breakfast buffet was included in our suite and was absolutely delicious. I didn’t want to leave."
