“gorgeous place up in the woods. you wont see a neighbor or traffic. nice little brook out back with an excellent sound. Front porch rockin' chairs were a favorite. Franklin WV is 4 miles away with a few restaurants and groceries if you care. Kitchen was great and had all the necessary things. turn off all the lights and step outside at night and it is pitch black except for the stars. WIFI was very handy and TV had Samsung streaming apps.”

“This was a perfect place to rest up between hiking and snowboarding. So close to my favorite hike, right next to a creek with a fire pit. So relaxing!”

“Overall this was an excellent stay. Couple of things would have been nice conveniences, for example, extra blankets, tissues, paper for the fireplace or a fireplace starter. The cabin had a tub, but no shower, which was slightly disappointing. The cabin was clean and comfortable otherwise. We were able to do exactly what we wanted, which was to disconnect for a few days!”

Couldn’t ask for a better location at Seneca Rocks to see Blackwater falls state park, Spruce Knob, smoke hole caverns and Triangle Rock. Theirs 2 restaurants and small essentials store next to the property walking distance too. So perfect, appreciate you Jerry!”

“From the moment we arrived the cabin was warm, welcoming, and made you feel at home. Beautiful and peaceful setting. Space to relax and enjoy both indoors and outside. Didn’t get to hike as much as we hoped due to rainy weather but still managed to get out and explore nearby attractions. Host was easy to work with and ensured our visit was a good experience. Cabin was clean, comfy, and would stay there again.”

“The cabin was so cute, quiet, and relaxing. There’s no potable water there though, which would have been nice to know in advance. The hosts arranged to have some more bottled water brought to up within an hour of us arriving after we reached out, and also gave us recommendations on hikes in the area. Overall, my partner and I had a lovely time and would comeback in a heartbeat. ”

“Have stayed several times for climbing trips to Reed’s Creek and Smoke Hole. Pappies is located very close to the climbing. It’s well appointed, clean and very comfortable. Danita is a wonderful host. ”
