“Staff were excellent. Very helpful. Food good. However, our room, No.3, was shabby, to say the least. Definitely not value for the price. Mould in the shower. Peeling wallpaper. Toilet window unable to open. Dirty carpet. Burnt arm on heated towel rail when bent down to retrieve towel from floor. No warning notice. Double wall socket peeling from wall. Dirty TV remote held together by sellotape. Small TV with poor sound. Photos support my assertions.”

“What a deceptively lovely place to stay. The exterior hides the warmth and friendliness inside.
Beautifully up to date and simply designed interior. Easy to navigate and super clean.
Access to the rooms can be up the fire escape stairs from the rear car park, best for us, or through the bar. And we took advantage of the cutlery and plates offered for our takeaway. Brilliant!
The pub has a friendly atmosphere, happy customers and a fab live band played. Do check if there is a live event during……

“We only stayed for 1 night with our dogs, the grounds of the hotel are stunning with lovely views. We were only given 1 bottle of water for our room, when booking I was advised the additional supplement for pets would ensure plenty water in the room, this was not the case but we had plenty with us anyway so didn't see the point in mentioning it. “An excellent property, very homely, cosy and welcoming. Would definitely return. Found laundry basket, spare mattress covers and oven gloves in main bedroom. Not a great problem at all, but think these items were inadvertently left at the changeover clean. But this is not an important criticism - the property was wonderful.”

“We have just returned home after a 2 week stay at Milford House which we highly recommend. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable and everything we could have possibly needed was provided, including a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. The house is in a convenient location, only a minute or two's walk from the centre of the village.
