"The Waring House offers a truly memorable experience, and it starts the moment you arrive. The grounds are impeccably maintained — lush, inviting, and clearly cared for with pride. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure every guest felt welcomed and well looked after. We stayed in the Quaker Lodge, which struck a perfect balance between modern comfort and historic charm. Our room featured a lovely balcony overlooking the Millennium Trail — an ideal spot to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or unwind in the evening with a glass of wine. Dining at The Barley Room Pub and Amelia’s Garden was a highlight. The food and drinks were consistently excellent, but what really stood out was the level of service. While we did notice occasional moments where the staff seemed stretched — something a few other reviews have mentioned — what impressed us most was how gracefully and kindly each team member handled it. Their calm professionalism and friendly demeanour turned any potential hiccup into a moment of connection, not inconvenience. "Very quiet cottage, equipped with little more than the basic (toaster, blender, and like four coffee machines 😄). It was clean and tidy. Two bedrooms, comfortable enough beds, and clean-good-size bathroom. The TV was great. Not sure if intentional, but Netflix and Prime were available for guests (thinking someone forgot to log off). We used the BBQ a couple of nights. Pincton is close enough for access to grocery store, Canadian Tire and meat shop. "

"Our host provided us with everything we would need for a memorable trip to Picton Ontario. The property is ideally located a short distance from the town. The property was newly built, very roomy, clean and provided a plug in for a EV vehicle. The owners are very friendly and provided great recommendations for eating out, shopping, parking, directions and what to see. I would highly recommend this place."
