“We thoroughly enjoyed our few days at La Vida Mountain Resort and Spa. We particularly enjoyed the evenings watching spectacular thunderstorms flashing in distant skies over other valleys while there was not a drop of rain where we were. The food was consistently very good and the staff always friendly and helpful. We would definitely return.”

“Helen was the perfect host - friendly, outgoing and very helpful in every matter. Communication was easy, room was clean, breakfast great, parking available”

“The location was beautiful. The rooms are VERY large. I was not aware that the room did not have a/c or fan (but I did not read the details, I just assumed it did because of the pricing) the weather was not super hot this day so it was ok, but on a warmer day it definetly needs it, also no TV at least in our room, the bathroom had some leaking in the shower. The beds and pillows were ok. Maybe we just assumed beacuse of the price that it would be a little more premium. But the experience was Ok……

“It was alright. Doctor Larry is really good”

“Good”

“Outstanding experience. We arrived in San Jose and wanted to catch our breath before our 3 hour drive the next day. Chayote Lodge was exceptional. Great view, very nice restaurant on property, comfortable beds and great sheets. Chayote, the canine greeter, is delightful. Lovely!”

“I had the worst hotel experience of my life here! The shower had a cheap plastic shower head that was broken when my daughter first tried to take a shower. The shower head disconnected from its base and couldn’t be used. We reported the issue and a staff member worked on it and said it was fixed. Then my son tried to take a shower and the shower head disconnected from its base even more. It had been 2 days without a functioning shower at this point. I told the staff as we left that we would……

“Schönes Zelt mitten im Regenwald. Die Anfahrt war allerdings etwas anstrengend. Deshalb sind wir auch beide Tage dort geblieben und haben vor Ort Wanderungen gemacht oder waren am Pool. Der ist klein, aber sehr hübsch angelegt. Frühstück und Abendessen waren sehr gut. Wifi nur im Hauptgebäude. ”

“This is a wonderful tico property that truly feels authentic Costa Rican. In the thick rain forest I felt very close to the earth. The breakfast is special and the owner is fabulous. I will return!”

“Very old installation. Need a serious refresh.”

“Magical slice of heaven in the most beautiful place. Wonderful warm staff, amazing food and caring management. If you want to disconnect from the world and watch nature in peace and quiet, this is the place to be. Can’t wait to go back again! Special shoutout to Didier, Jose, Oskar, Christopher, you all are amazing! Thank you!”

“Absolument un endroit magnifique. J'ai adoré la fraîcheur que les montagnes apportent comparativement au haute chaleur que la région peut offrir par moment. Le Dôme #2 est parfait, une vue incroyable sur les montagnes et Puntarenas.”

“Is not what you see on the pictures Staff is the only thing I can say was good”

“La Terraza was an absolute delight. The staff and owners couldn’t have been more friendly, more helpful, more accommodating. We stayed in the El Rio apartment. A bit more expensive than a regular room but, OMG, so worth it!! Its large, has a beautiful view from the terrace, full kitchen, beautifully decorated. The owners, Charles and Peter, were an absolute delight. We talked through the entire breakfast and Charles even joined us one day for breakfast. The staff was also delightful. Mauricio……

“Tree Houses was an amazing stay in Costa Rica. The staff was exceptional and will work with your schedule for anything you need. Alandra was truly a standout, she’s great. The breakfast that’s served is always amazing with the freshest fruit. The coffee that is brought to your balcony every morning is wonderful as well. The property is amazing with many different species of plants, birds and animals. The tours that are recommended are absolutely worth it and above all, the tours with Juan……
