La Foresteria is a self-contained apartment located on the first floor (accessible by stairs), right in the heart of the medieval village of Monticchiello. It is a vacation rental that the Cooperative offers for both short-term and long-term stays.

The apartment consists of two bedrooms—one double and one single—a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen with a living area and a flat-screen TV, and a large wood-burning fireplace. The style and furnishings are simple and understated, in keeping with the original architecture. We do not provide a breakfast service, but upon arrival, we will ensure that everything you need is provided, as agreed in advance with our staff. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.

The house overlooks the main church and the square where the Teatro Povero theater company performs every summer, from late July to mid-August. You’ll find yourself in the heart of a well-preserved medieval village, where you can experience an atmosphere steeped in history, as if you were a local resident.

Just a few meters away, next to the church, you’ll find all the essential amenities: inside the Granaio, you’ll find the tourist office and newsstand, the Tepotratos Theater Museum, our Bronzino restaurant—open for lunch and dinner—and, upon request, electric bike rentals delivered right to your door—a unique opportunity to explore the Val d’Orcia in complete harmony with the landscape.
