“We had a wonderful stay! We came to Afton to ski, but may have had just as much fun staying at The Afton House. The rooms were charming and perfect. The food in The Current was delicious, and the staff was absolutely the best. Very kind and helpful. We will be back! ”

It is well preserved and has period wall coverings and ceilings including a gilded ceiling and a living room with course burlap over bright copper sheets. The bright copper was added in 1903 when electricity was installed. The wattage of the bulbs was low and the copper improved the light performance.
