The room was reasonable and functional for the price. It served my purpose for a business trip - ample desk space for working, hot coffee/tea available 24/7 was appreciated. It was clean, except for the trash not being emptied. I don't require full on housekeeping when I am only there for a couple of nights, but housekeeping clearly came in to refresh towels, but didn't empty both trash cans or make the beds?

We had a comfortable stay while we were in Pittsburgh to drop off our kid who is starting college. Initially, I panicked when the AC didn't work, but it kicked in after 5 minutes. The water dispenser is in the gym room which is bit of a pain. Breakfast was okay.

The front office lady ( I think Helen) was really excellent and friendly. I was traveling with my family and the pet dog. As it took sometime for them to get the dog friendly room ready she completely waved the pet fee and also made sure we are comfortable during our stay. Complimentary breakfast was also very good.

Phenomenal staff! The breakfast was excellent. My complaint is, I was on the ground floor, and there was a mild mold problem with the room I was staying in (Room 111). I had a scratchy throat when I woke up the next morning. Fortunately, I was only there for a very short time, but it would not be tolerable for more than 2 nights. I believe the issue was bad enough to dock 1 star. However, if they cleared the mold, this would be an easy 5 star review.

The staff was very friendly at Holiday Inn Express. I appreciated having a coffee maker and refrigerator in my room, and the breakfast buffet has many good options, although I would have enjoyed healthier options. The cleanliness wasn’t so great. I found crumbs in my room from previous visitors and it took the staff several days to clean the crackers from the stairwell. The location was excellent, parking was always available, and the amenities in the room were exactly what I needed. There was also a laundry room with a washer and dryer that I appreciated using.

Honestly this is the cleanest Holiday Inn Express I’ve stayed in for some time. Staff was friendly and courteous and the WiFi was good. Of course the kids complained there was no pool 🙃
