“The good: This is an excellent hotel with spectacular views, friendly staff, and a zen atmosphere. The bad: There is 1.8 KM of unpaved steep rocky road before you get to the gate and another kilometer before getting to the property. This is bad enough that we decided to give up 2 prepaid nights and leave early despite having a 2WD SUV (To their credit, hotel credit us for our incidentals, which accounted for part of the nightly rate). I highly recommend this hotel as long as you have known brand……

“What a Great Ocean View from the private Pool of the House!! I also stayed in one of their apartments, their pool as well have a spectacular vie to the Pacific Ocean and breathtaking sunsets. The hosts and their team are very helpful and friendly. And the best: our dogs were welcome and enjoyed their stay as much as we did. To Dog owners: to maintain this place dog friendly control your dogs and clean up after them, thank you! Overall one of the best places we stayed in the Uvita region! ”

“Outstanding, and the perfect end to a travel and tour-filled vacation. Vayu is an idyllic retreat, nestled in the jungle, surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. We were even visited by a pair of inquisitive toucans. The rooms are huge - clean and a bed with bedding more comfortable than home. Everything has been perfectly considered - design and integration of technology (most notably the lighting and sound systems). “Loved the pool and the fact that the staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome, they even went through the trouble of bringing “manzanas de agua” from the tree,clean them and served them pool side on a plate with salt on the side.
