“Great place to stay. Very clean and quiet. Cabin is small and perfect for two people. We stayed in the Nut House. The bathroom is very clean but very small. If you are much over 6 foot or 200lbs the shower is going to be a tight fit. Not an issue but something to consider. Overall it was a great cabin to stay in. ”

“The cabin was very clean with a plethora of little additions that were thoughtful -Pet crate (already set up) for our dog. We didn’t need it but the option was great -Basket of misc pet supplies, if needed -Food and water bowl for a pet already there -A lot of movies, games, and books to choose from -Large tv with directTV - The fire pit outside was a great option too. We planned to use it but we arrived later than we expected. Highly recommended”

“This cabin shows all the signs of being well loved. Everything guests could need has been anticipated, from a tea kettle to toilet paper. Comfortable, cozy, and spotlessly clean describes the place. Our dog even loved the lion statues out front. Last winter was especially hard on our family. We had to cancel once due to health problems, and the owner graciously helped us rearrange our plans. The opportunity to enjoy some quiet time in a charming cabin was just what we needed.”

“I read all the reviews for this cabin and it was exactly as described. Very private and quiet. My husband, myself and our dog enjoyed ourselves very much. I was a little worried about the bathroom because of some of the reviews but we had no complaints at all. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a dozen deer come up graze one evening and it was a special treat for us. Kate communicated with us through out our trip and answered all our questions very……

“Lovely home. Main concern was the hot tub was slimy and home had deferred maintenance. But, the beds were comfy, the home was spacious and nicely decorated.”

“Very nice cabin. Hot tub was great. Yes there is traffic but inside or in hot tub you don’t notice it. We saw deer on the hill in back yard. Easy to get to everything. We will definitely be back.”

“Overall, the property is as advertised with a great view and amenities. The rooms and are large and plenty of spaces and TV. Location is great, very close to the Watauga River Park and original Mast General Store with a short 15 min drive to Boone. Communication with the host was quick and consistent. We reported a couple issues that were present upon arrival and the host offered to have them fixed during our stay: 1) screen on the patio door was coming out of its frame 2) and patio fire pit……

“Overall I'm glad we picked this hotel. The staff at the hotel were super nice! The floor in our room was a bit squeaky, but we barely heard anything from the floor above us. The pool was a very comfortable temperature and the sauna felt good. They had a heavy snow early on the day we checked in, so we were glad to have a lower level to park in!”
