“On the first night of my stay, the showerhead broke halfway through my shower, and the water temperature was hard to control. I ended up finishing the shower in a very awkward and uncomfortable way. Later, when I was about to go to sleep, I found that the air conditioner remote had no batteries, so I had to go the whole night without any air conditioning. When I told the hostess, she assumed I was the one who broke it. Upon checkout, she asked me for €20 for the city tax, even though I had……

“The Villa is on a lovely little street in the heart of Old Town. The room was spotless and had clearly been well maintained. Nikolina was friendly and knowledgeable, helping us with suggestions for places to eat and visit. She also arranged for flowers and chocolates in our friends room as they were celebrating their Wedding Anniversary, plus a very sweet heart shape on the bed made from petals. “When I got into my room there were ants on my bed. They were really nice about letting me change rooms and let me have my pick, allowing me to check the rooms before. Only problem is that the next 2 rooms I checked also had ants. I probably should have gone somewhere else at this point but it was late, so I checked 2 rooms in the other building (annex) and they were much cleaner and newer than in the main building.
