"Nordhaven was more than we could hope for for a relaxing, comfortable and fun stay. Our family of four had room the spread and lounge, cook yummy meals together, watch family movies, take walks to the sweet little beach and see sea lions, porpoises and a bald eagle, and even a longish walk into town. It was the perfect jumping off point for all the adventures that Orcas Island has to offer. The hot tub heater stopped working but the manager sent someone out within 10 minutes of my text and all was well again! Thank you for the beautifully cozy beds and property! We hope to return someday!"

"The property is basically a detached bedroom off the main house. To access the private bath, you need to go through the main house. This is explained in the property comments, but its easy to miss if you're just going by the pictures. Access to the patio areas shown in the pictures in through the main house, so you have to walk through the owners private living area to gain access, which felt intrusive, so we didn't. I'm sure some people wouldn't be bothered by this, but we felt like we were staying in someone's home, not a separate space. If you're wanting privacy, this probably wouldn't be a good fit. The property is in a very active neighborhood, so there were power tools, hammering, some yelling and kids playing soccer against the fence outside the cabana after 8am. If you're just looking for a place to sleep close to the water (a 5 minute walk to the beach) and you plan on eating out for all meals, then this would be a good choice. The owner's communication was 5 star."

"Mgr /check in clerk was very nice and awesome. Rooms were very clean. Two reasons I am rating it down a little - 1) while air conditioner worked sortof, it would not stay at set temperature, and instead kept reverting to a much higher set point; and 2) shower head was positioned under 5' from base of tub,making it very challenging to wash my hair."

"This is a very cozy place to stay. You can see the bay from inside the house as well as from the porch. The view is especially lovely at night. The neighborhood was quiet. Overall we had a relaxing and lovely stay."

"A welcoming, traditionally appointed, immaculately clean, bed-and-breakfast, with extremely friendly, personable, and dedicated hosts. Rooms are located up one flight of stairs. The Nuthatch room requires a one-step climb up into the elevated bed, (very comfortable). All amenities are provided. I did miss a comfortable surface to sit on inside the room as the existing two chairs and upholstered bench felt hard and uncomfortable to me. That said, there are numerous very comfortable spaces to nestle into both inside the B&B, e.g., in the living area or the cozy library and on the entrance patio. Breakfasts are extraordinary – freshly made, exquisitely presented, and absolutely delicious. The B&B is very quiet at night; during the day, the sound of occasional propeller aircraft landing and taking off is audible from the airport located nearby. The location is walkable to a lovely small beach, and it is a five-minute drive to the center of Eastsound village. Overall, this was a pleasant and rewarding stay."
