It is the perfect choice to enjoy a more authentic vacation, and still with the beaches just 10 minutes away by car. It is located right in the heart of the town, just 200 meters from its Plaza Mayor (with its fantastic Sunday market, and a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops), as well as the famous Calvary staircase.Although these are the two most renowned places in Pollença, we also advise you to let yourself be intoxicated by the atmosphere and essence of the town itself, letting yourself get lost in the small streets, and discovering the small museums, art galleries, churches, restaurants and shops. Please note that the streets of the old town are not the most suitable for traffic. Fortunately for you, Horta 55 has a small garage with a permanent ford, which will be really useful for loading and unloading functions. We always recommend having your own vehicle, as it will give you freedom of movement and allow you to visit other towns on the island. However, it is by no means essential.Therefore, if you choose to do without a rental vehicle, you can also enjoy the sea with the bus lines that go to both the beaches of Cala San Vicente and those of Puerto Pollensa (both enclaves just 7 km away. ). Taking a taxi is an equally valid option. Also note that between the end of July and until August 2, the patron saint festivities are celebrated with great passion. August 2 (“Patron Saint's Day”) is the most important day, and is undoubtedly one of the liveliest and most picturesque popular expressions on the entire island, and one that the entire town lives with great fervor.The Holy Week Procession also stands out, and especially the “Devallament” (the lowering of the cross of Jesus Christ) that takes place on the night of Good Friday.
