Oasis do Sol, a House in Madeira

Oásis do Sol is a self-contained, air-conditioned accommodation in a rural setting near the village of Ponta do Sol, for two to four guests — with a balcony facing the sea and the fields, a jacuzzi and space for meals outdoors, with levadas nearby for nature lovers.

The accommodation is approximately 130 m² and consists of two bedrooms. One bedroom has a king-size double bed (180 × 210 cm), en-suite bathroom and dressing area. The other bedroom has two single beds (100 × 190 cm) and a bathroom. There is also a living room with a dining table and a kitchen. It has air conditioning with cooling and heating in the bedrooms and living room.

It has a spacious balcony with panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding farmland and is ideal for relaxing in the late afternoon and enjoying the fabulous sunsets with especially intense colours in autumn. Outside there are sun loungers, a dining table, a seating area and an outdoor jacuzzi.

The accommodation is equipped with a refrigerator and freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, microwave and other utensils, as well as bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi (200 Mbps), TV with international channels, among other amenities to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay.

The accommodation is located in a rural area 350 m above sea level and 3.5 km from the village of Ponta do Sol, where there is a beach, restaurants and cafés.

About 550 m away are the start of the Levada do Moinho and Levada Nova, which are recommended walking trails with fabulous scenery.

Ponta do Sol is located in the south-western part of the island, which has the best climate in Madeira.

A few kilometres away, there are impressive cliffs, mountains and Laurissilva forest for nature lovers and hikers.

In the vicinity, it is possible to enjoy various outdoor activities, such as hiking, paragliding, mountain biking, surfing, fishing and other water sports.

The property has access to the main roads.

There is free parking on the property.

The property's entrance is shared with the owner's main house, but the accommodation is independent.

Weekly maintenance cleaning, including a change of bed linen and towels.

We strongly recommend that guests purchase travel insurance covering cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances that may prevent their stay.

Due to the island's location and climate, the presence of insects and small lizards is natural, and they may be attracted by food scraps. We kindly ask that you keep surfaces clean and food properly stored.

For anyone who is not comfortable with the presence of insects and lizards, we do not recommend staying in a rural area.

For those sensitive to mosquito bites, we recommend using repellent when getting around the island.

An online pre-check-in form will be sent to collect the identification details required by law.

In-person check-in is by prior appointment. We will wait up to 60 minutes after the scheduled time; beyond that, it may be necessary to arrange a new time.
